If you created the file before the first run, it could be overwritten. Also, if you didn't shutdown the server before editing. It is suggested to let the game fully start once, then shutdown and then edit. There's an internal mechanism to the game that create a default file and save the Co fig when you exit, thus overwriting the file. Also, could be a permission issue in your docker folder where you set the file that prevented the game from loading it.

yup like I said, LTSC aren't the same as 10 Enterprise/Pro/Edu/Home. They are a seperate sku and you can't In-Place upgrade/downgrade to these for multiple reason. It's still unclear what the issue, you just say stuff about LanmanWorkstation requiring a fix but what is the problem? Cause LanmanWorkstation is for insecure login and this been part of W10 forever. You shouldn't use insecure logins on any share and just map with a user/pass. And when LanmanWorkstation is set to insecure, all encryption are toss out of the window since it doesn't support it. Which mean easy to get any authentication by sniffing the network.

yeah the nvidia stuff is really bugging me. In the gui, it says it's the version the kernel want that's installed Since my array is unstable, I've yet to upgrade to latest unraid version.

that would be weird that it took all this time. Is there another card I could use to not have this problem since all my disk are seagate? Right now, I'm connecting a 2nd psu that will power the external drive to see if it's a power issue. I'll also put the never spin down on the disk 5 which this time disconnected. I though maybe the mainboard is having issue (since the HDD controller on the mainboard is fried) but all the disk on the hba card would go down if it was shorting it. edit: there's also the invalid path that I don't get. Now it's the download drive, last time it was download and another drive. The download drive is still in the startech with another drive though. Very weird.

Ok so here's the "new" situation. 2 days ago, I took out disk 5 and disk 6 of the startech 4-bay unit and plug them directly into a power and sas->sata cable and rebuild. This morning, it's Disk 5 that is now disconnected and download disk has invalid path (like last time). download disk is still into the startech bay but I'm more concern about the disconnected disk. It usually happen during night at the backup time (well, I think, all I know is that all backup fail during that time). I think this time it was during a parity check because I'm att 33% of parity check and it stopped. I'm wondering if it's the HBA card that's failing, the power that's not enough or something else. servraid-diagnostics-20240701-0836.zip

Hello everyone, I currently have startech 4-bay mobile rack (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00OUSU8MI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that I'm using for 4 of my disk. While I like it, it has already started to show problem like dropping disk and such. I laready rma once so I'm guessing it's not as good as I though even for a startech product. So I was wondering if anyone know of a reliable external hard drive enclosure of at least 4 disk bay. I already have 1 other disk waiting for a rack so either I would buy 2 to have more space or if it's more then 4, it would be good. I'm also thinking on adding 3 others disk to my array to have a dual parity and more space which would than require a 8-bay unit or 2x4-bay units. If it's rack mountable, even better! Since I have limited power on my psu, it need to be "self powered". All I need is to be able to connect to my HBA card either with a sas/sas cable or with my current sas/4xsata cable. Thank you!

Did you try without the script just a plain old barebones install? Did you install the virtuiso for the drivers?

Maybe cause you used ltsc? Have you tried a non ltsc version? I'm on Windows server 2022 no problem running my security camera. Windows 10 ltsc isn't the most common os, and not its not the same as Windows 10 non ltsc. I work with these daily and they don't behave the same and often drivers too. Like I have an latitude that if I deploy windows 10 ltsc 2019, only the 2nd driver pack from Dell work. All other result in bsod. But on Windows 10 22h2? No problem. As for update that keep breaking stuff, just install security only update and that's it. But there's no such thing as update that keep breaking stuff unless your just peeky. Managing over 10 000 critical station all with autoupdate on computer age up to 8 years old and no problem. All on Windows 10 22h2. The other 500 I manage are either on ltsc, 7 or xp (yes xp.........).

I think I have a controller problem... disk 6 is being rebuild. disk 5 made the read error. downloads is another disk that never did any error... All on the same external HHBA card, 2 different set of cable

I'm waiting for rebuilt but already, samed disk 5 made same number of error again during rebuild. Waiting to see if it get worst, might also be a failing controller. I'll try putting one of the drive outside on aother power cable (hopping it doesn't split to the same upward) after the rebult

ah yeah good idea. But since I have now a disconnected drive, it mean again rebuild time so I won't do this before having it green again. Would be bad to have 2 emulated drive in a single parity config

They are into a Startech 4 disk enclosure that have 2 power for 4 disk and a fan. I don't have enough space in the server for my drives so I was looking for something external that could safely keep them and came up with that. I have a Dell Precision 5820. This thing has limited power and I think I might be running out? It does go through some splitter cause it only have like 4 headers for power on the psu, which is so stupid considering that thing has 12 sata ports Xeon Gold W-2275 with 128GB ECC Ram NVidia RTX 4000 2x NVME 1.0 TB SSD 6x 16TB Sata HDD 1x 8TB Sata HDD 1x 4TB Sata HDD I added some fan (and one was required for the RTX 4000 installation from Dell). Maybe I should try to find another HDD enclosure but with external power that I can connect like this one, unsure if that exist

Hello, 2 days ago, I woke up to a disc emulated. Stopped the array, mount in maintenance mode, run disk test, everything is fine. Ok, rebuild the entire array. I also swapped the data cable (connected to a hba card) and shutdown my server to do some inspection (and dusting). This morning, samething but I also have a warning saying I have 2 disk with read error on the array. I'm unsure what is going on. Disk 5 - ST16000NM001G-2KK103_ZL2NQ6RK (sdi) (errors 313227) Disk 6 - ST16000NM001G-2KK103_ZL2NR6GL (sdg) (errors 1882) I'm unsure what to do now. Do I have failing disks? Hello everyone, I woke up to a disk offline error. I switched the cables, scan the disk, shutdown server and started again, disk still show with a x. How to a reenable it? It doesnt use external ip per say. It will resolve the external ip automatically so when it publish on the game server browser, it put your external ip. That's why you shouldn't touch it, it is dynamically changed each start of the server and I think it detect ip change. Port forwarding is never needed when playing locally unless you have a firewall between the server and you (you don't). You can simply put the server ip in the game and it will connect. The server simply listen to its port and its own ip. It doesn't listen to the external ip, it doesn't even have that ip.

The difference is what engine it's using as a compatibility layer. Enshrouded is windows only so it doesn't run natively on linux yet. Because of that, we must use something to make it run. The default way is using Wine. Proton can be used (which also use wine but with added graphic library). Honestly, Proton was added cause some people reported it added performance but in reality, there's no gain.

Hello everyone, I've had a Windows server 2022 VM for the past year or so. Everything was always great, daily reboot with blueiris on it no problem. But for the past I think month or two, I notice that sometime, the VM is UP but the OS is down. I have to force shutdown and start it back up. Once I log, I have Windows asking me why I crashed. Looking at the log, I see ESENT errors. While the os is loaded, I found out that nearly all of my 32gb of ram are used and that it's nearly all from the driver I'm unsure if that's the root cause but it is something weird. I'm using virtiofsmode with manual unraid share mapped. Unraid 6.12.8, no GPO passthrough. Anyone know how to fix this freezing problem? Thank you edit: just remember that the ram problem is because of ballooning in the virtio drivers under Windows that doesn't work well and the easy fix is to set min and max value for ram as the same in the configuration. I'm sure I did do that in the past so unsure why it's back to difference value. But I don't think that was the freezing problem, time will tell.

Hello, Enshrouded is highly unoptimized, specially running on non native platform like docker does. There's not much we can do about it unfortunately. The fact you had a plugin froze all your unraid before is concerning, never had that. It might be the same case here, something is strange with your unraid. The log you posted is only the creation log, not the log of the server itself. But you can see through this forum and only that many struggle with enshrouded performance even at low count.

Hello everyone, I have an ongoing issue that I though was to a specific docker container but turns out that when I checked on my other unraid, it doesn't have the same issue. What happen is from the webgui, I press stop on the container and it will sit there. Looking at the docker monitor, the docker is still running and doing it's job. Once the timeout is reach, I get an error on the webgui and the docker get killed. I still see it as running on the webgui until I refresh the page. Whatever stop the docker from the webgui, it will behave like that. Container Restart, stop, apply update / change config, backup plugin, server shutdown/restart, they all end up killing it If I open a cli and do docker stop container, the container stop in seconds. So I know it's not the container itself, something in unraid is badly working. I looked at my syslog, there's nothing at all. I need a way to have more verbose logging or a way to diagnose this problem. It's not tied to a specific container, it happen to many container even new one just downloaded for the first time. It's not all container. Same container on other unraid server doesn't have the problem. Issue existed since at least 6.9.x. Currently on 6.12.8. Thank you!

A port forward is suppose to have internal destination ip, which is your unraid server ip (or docker if it has an ip directly on your network which mean same 3 part address as your unraid server and your computers). Pretty sure this is the problem in the screenshot cause home ip doesn't begin with 212. It should be something like 192.168.y.z or 10.x.y.z.

Where are you trying from when you try from the internet? Some router doesn't allow loopback connection from the wan (which mean coming out from the lan to the internet than coming back in in the same connection). If you are trying from a remote computer on the internet, there's 2 possibility. The port forwarding isn't properly done (screenshot you showed seems to be port opening and not port forwarding) or your ISP is blocking it

network configuration is in the docker configuration of the application itself (enshrouded). It's one of the many configuration. You need to first check if you can connect directly to it using local ip (the unraid server ip OR the docker ip if it's an ip from your local network). You can do this by following instruction here If this doesn't work, either your connection information are wrong or you have something miss configured. Normally, you wouldn't need any port open / forwarded to do this since you are on the same network. You might wanna try using both port, I don't know which one is the one used to connect to the game.

if you can't connet directly with the ip of your server and port, it means there's something badly configured. By the logfile ou provided, we see HostOnline (up) which mean the docker is running properly. Did you change any of the port mapping in the configuration? What network configuration is the docker running on?
