  1. OK, thanks for that. I installed that plugin and managed to edit the file. I saved it and ran the Check Common Problems scan again. This hasn't changed anything. Do I need to reboot or anything like that?
  2. OK, now I feel like a complete moron. I've no idea how to do that. I don't have that file in what I see as /config/share.cfg I can see it at /boot/config/share.cfg I have Krusader setup for file management. When I look in /boot in Krusader it is empty. I know this is really remedial stuff but I haven't a clue how to do this now.
  3. Hopefully I have done this correctly nas-diagnostics-20240416-1944.zip
  4. Sorry to necro this old thread. I'm having the same issue. The problem for me is I don't have a cache on my unraid server and I don't have any cache settings to change on the share pages.
  5. I had a question. Came to this thread to ask it. Question answered in OP Top work fellas
  6. Hi guys. I'm trying to set this up and I'm really running into problems. I've managed to get deluge setup and it will run but I am having difficulty accessing the webui. When I open the webui sometimes I get an error saying I can't reach the ip address. Sometimes I can access the deluge webui. Once I manage to get into the deluge webui the connection manager dialog pops up and the connect button doesn't respond when I click it. At the bottom left of the screen it says "not connected". If I stop and restart the docker container sometimes I can get the deluge webui to "connect". I managed to load a ubuntu torrent to test things and then it started downloading. After a few minutes the connection manager dialog popped up and is again unresponsive.
  7. In case anyone else has this problem. The issue was the "Fast Boot" setting in the BIOS. Once I disabled this everything was OK.
  8. I've got a weird boot issue with Unraid. If I turn the machine on or reboot, it just hangs on a black screen after the Bios splash screen. If I go into the bios and do nothing, just exit it, the machine boots fine from there. The motherboard is an Asus B560M-A
  9. tower-diagnostics-20220906-1909.zip I'm not sure what is happening. It took a few mins to pull this. Once I download the file I clicked on the dashboard and things seemed to be working again. I don't know if this is resolved itself or not and if it has I don't know what has resolved. There is still a share called "NAS" in the shares tab which persists after "fresh install" on this USB stick and also "new config" on Tools
  10. I am in the middle of a new install of unraid (my first time) I noticed earlier that I hadn't enabled virtualisation in the bios so I decided to reboot to fix this. While trying to do a clean reboot the system got stuck and after 25mins it still hadn't rebooted. This is on a setup with 2 drives both empty of any data. The server rebooted but thankfully didn't need to do a parity rebuild after it came back up. I quickly noticed that after a few seconds the dashboard started playing up. It could be accessed but no live information was coming up. I rebooted and the same issue presented. I decided that I would try a fresh install as I hadn't done very much at this point. I presumed I had borked something. When I rebooted I got the option to create a new array. I added the drives to this and it started to build parity. I then noticed the same issue with the dashboard had occurred again. I also noticed that in spite of a fresh installation (on the same USB stick) a share I had added but not configured called "NAS" was still showing. I guess something has happened here that has retained the config information. I went to "Tools" and then "New Config" and rebooted. This gave me the option to create a new array but after a few seconds the dashboard issue arose. I am getting errors from the "Unraid Servers API" but I can't see what the actual problem is and/or whether this is related. So, at the moment I seem to have a barrier I can't get past.
  11. Has there been any change in iDrive working with unraid? I've just ordered components to build an unraid server and I currently use iDrive for backing up data
  12. I'm not sure where the OP is located but in the UK there are plenty of business sellers on EBAY that sell second hand equipment and will supply invoices for accounting purposes.
  13. I'm currently in the process of putting together a NAS build for myself. Unfortunately, I am faced with both a overabundance of choice and a lack of choice. My situation is that I have recently moved from the UK to the Republic of Ireland. Prices in Ireland are very high across the board and many UK retailers won't ship to Ireland. (I've no interest in any sort of political discussion on Brexit). Without boring everyone with details, I can get my hands at a reasonable price on some stuff, but not others. Some stuff I just can't find at any price. I had been considering buying a Synology DS920+. This is a four bay NAS that I can pick up for about €520 without drives. I have a budget then where I would like to hit a similar price point (without drives). This NAS is going to be used at home for my wife and I. We want to use it as local backup as well as for PLEX. Want to be able to stream 4K HDR content locally to a Shield TV Pro as well as transcoding a bit of content remotely as needed. I'll also be running a variety of docker containers for things like Sonarr and Radarr (plus torrent client if needed) and other cool stuff as I come across it. Will also be using OpenVPN I will be buying a couple of 4TB Ironwolf drives initially but want to expand that storage as I go. I need a minimum of 4 bays but more would be good. Power consumption is an important factor to consider with current electricity prices. I don't need to hit some absurdly low level of power draw but I don't want to run up huge bills either. I don't have any spare parts lying around for this. The sort of components I have been looking at are something like this : Core i3-10105 H510M-HVS Motherboard AEGIS, DDR4-3000, CL16 - 16 GB Dual Kit Fractal Design Node 804 (Note : Have been unable to find one of these I can get delivered) Unsure of a PSU - Looking at various 80+ Gold options. Unsure if spending the best part of €200 on a platinum PSU is cost effective I am very open to suggestions on what I should consider changing. I'm open to buying second hand kit as well, if I can get my hands on it. I've looked at things like HP Elitedesk desktops with 8th gen i5s but they all have very few drive bays. As I understand it as well they use non standard motherboards so you couldn't easily transplant them into something with more space. I'm open to correction on that.
