[Plugin] unRAID Replication
That's a bummer. So what's happening is: Master Server: Non-replicated containers: UP Replicated containers: UP Backup Server: Non-replicated containers: UP Replicated containers: DOWN !!! EVENT - MASTER OFFLINE !!! Master Server: OFFLINE Backup Server: Non-replicated containers: UP Replicated containers: UP !!! EVENT - MASTER ONLINE !!! Master Server: Non-replicated containers: UP Replicated containers: UP Backup Server: Non-replicated containers: DOWN Replicated containers: DOWN The plugin is stopping all containers on the backup server once the master becomes available. This is a minor inconvenience for me because my backup server is a gaming server and isn't running anything important. However, it is an annoying additional touchpoint after a failover. The stopped non-replicated containers do not come back up even if set for --restart always. Maybe my use case is unique, but the idea of having two Unraid servers in your setup and hosting nothing but backups on the second feels odd.

[Plugin] unRAID Replication
Gotcha. That makes a little sense. It seems like any time the replicate finishes, or when the master goes offline, the backup shuts down all running containers. Is it possible that the plugin might get an update for this in the future, or is it a technical challenge?

[Plugin] unRAID Replication
I'm sorry, I wasn't clear - non-replicated containers on the backup server are shutting down whenever the master goes offline. My backup server is a game server, not a dedicated backup, so it's running some other stuff - Teamspeak, Crafty and the like. I do see the replicated containers in the list where they belong. But when the master goes offline, the backup seems to shut down all running containers.

[Plugin] unRAID Replication
Yeah, I think I've got it sorted at this point. Keepalived is configured on both, master registers as master and backup picks up when master goes offline. I am having one issue though - it seems any time keepalived does anything on the backup server, it shuts down all the containers that are running.

Oh... oh! Okay, so the keepalived virtual IP is required for keepalived to function in detecting a primary server failure, but that IP isn't necessarily used to access services (unless they're host type network containers that you're also replicating) - is that right? Sorry, I got tangled up in virtual IPs and my old HSRP knowledge tainted my understanding of this. 😂 Will try it out today!

[Plugin] unRAID Replication
Is there a means to do with for containers with dedicated IPs?

[Plugin] unRAID Replication
Hello! I've just installed this on my primary and backup Unraid servers and executed my first successful replication. This plugin is great! I'm struggling to understand the keepalived section. It seems to be written for only a single virtual IP, but my replicated services are br0 network type with their own IPs on my network - I'm replicating piHole at 10.1.20.4 and Nginx Proxy Manager at 10.1.20.5. How would I set up keepalived for multiple virtual IPs? Is that possible with this plugin, or is it assumed that you're to use "host" network type for all services?

Potential boot USB failure - key loss / corruption, unable to back up, unable to link key to account
Perfect. I found the same info a bit further down in the guide on swapping drives and did that. Seems to have done the trick. I'm back up and running on the new stick with no losses and the license successfully transferred. Thanks!

Potential boot USB failure - key loss / corruption, unable to back up, unable to link key to account
Alright, finally got home and have enough time to work on this. I was unable to pull a backup from the server via the web UI while it was running, as the USB was throwing I/O errors any time I attempted to access it. I pulled the drive from the server and plugged it into my laptop. Windows told me it had errors and to repair it. I did not, and copied the entire drive to a folder on my laptop. A few files failed to copy. After that, I told Windows to go ahead and repair it, after which I copied it to a new folder on my laptop. This time the whole copy succeeded. So now I've got a pre-Windows-repair copy of the drive and a post-Windows-repair copy. I've downloaded and used the USB Flash Creator to make a fresh flash drive on a new device. From here, what do I want to do? I know the config folder is necessary. I want to just copy the whole backup over the new drive and let it replace everything it asks about, but I'm not sure that's correct.

Gotcha. I will wait until I have the planned replacement drive in-hand and then proceed. Thank you for the quick response!

My array is still running and the menu is still (more or less) navigable, so I took a screenshot of the assignments. I thought I had a flash backup, but am having trouble locating it. It's possible that it's saved to my array. Guess those questions mean my flash drive is toast, eh?

Potential boot USB failure - key loss / corruption, unable to back up, unable to link key to account
Hello! I woke up this morning to my NAS shares not responding, and went to check on my server and found the attached. This is a paid Plus license from before the licensing change. It's been in service and on this flash drive for the last couple years. Once I get into the menus on the server, I get this message: Also, the UI in general is kindof a mess: I've attempted to take a backup of the flash drive, but get a 404 Not Found error. I've attempted to download the diagnostic log, but get a 404 Not Found error. I've attempted to install the key using the key file URL from the email from the original purchase. It shows "Downloading... ERROR:1" in the Install Key dialogue. I've attempted to login to Unraid.net to link the license file to the USB key. I get this error: My array (and the services on it) are still alive, but I'm worried about rebooting the server and having it not come back up. I've ordered a new USB drive and it should arrive tomorrow. Is there anything I missed?

HOWTO: Shutting down APC Smart-UPS when using NMC (apcupsd pcnet killpower)
Hi! I'm fighting with a similar issue. I can get my APC Smart-UPS 1500 with NMC3 to communicate with my Unraid server, and the server shutdown on specific battery level or time on battery works. However, I cannot get it to properly issue a UPS shutdown command. I've attempted the above fix with both PCnet and SNMP drivers in Unraid. The SNMP community on my UPS is configured for Write+. Both outlet groups on the UPS are configured for a 300 second power-off delay. My server's IP is configured as a PowerChute client. Watching the logs on my server, I see this during a UPS-triggered shutdown: I'm not sure if the last line in the log is related to the second to last line in the log. In either case, the UPS does not shut down after the pause. My next stop is NUT, but I would stubbornly prefer to manage this all within Unraid "natively" if I can.

APC UPS with Network Card - Help! (RESOLVED)
Thank you, but I have my reasons for wanting my servers to come back up after a brief power outage. Chief among them being that they are running my NVR software. Do you know how to get an APC UPS to power down after server shutdown via PCnet or SNMP driver?

APC UPS with Network Card - Help! (RESOLVED)
Late to the party! I have the same setup, and am trying to use the NMC3 card because I will have two Unraid servers in my rack. I've got it working via the PCnet driver, and it gets information back and shuts down at the appropriate time. However, I cannot get the Turn off UPS after shutdown option in the Unraid configuration to work. This is of relevance to me, because I want my UPS to come back on automatically after restoration of utility so that my server can also come back on automatically after restoration of of the UPS. Update: I've also tested it over SNMP. Everything but the UPS powerdown works there too. If anyone has any insight on getting this element to work, it would be appreciated!
