  1. Thanks for the reply. I followed your advice and CHKDSK appears to have fixed the issue with my USB drive. I went ahead and created a backup and a (new) USB drive just in case things go bad though. Appreciate you taking time to help me out, cheers!
  2. Error (re)installing, tried to update to latest but it failed and in my haste I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but get the following error: plugin: downloading: fix.common.problems-2023.07.16-x86_64-1.txz ... plugin: fix.common.problems-2023.07.16-x86_64-1.txz download failure: Generic error Executing hook script: post_plugin_checks How to fix? nas-syslog-20230720-1744.zip
  3. I know this is an old thread but I have the same problem(s), did you ever find a solution?
  4. I occasionally have permissions issues (mostly with downloaded content) and I usually just go to Tools>Docker Safe New Perms>Additional shares can be excluded HERE and click on "HERE" and it takes me to the exclude/include interface where I only include my downloads share. Just recently though when I click on "HERE" the include/exclude setting just aren't there any longer. Did they move? Did I set some preference that hid them? How can I get this setting back? I am running Version: 6.11.5. Any help appreciated.
  5. Have you figured this out? I have the same problem.
  6. I have a Nvidia Shield (running Android TV) that accesses my server via Emby and Plex could this be the issue?
  7. I have this same issue. Sorry I don't have any insights to a solution just thinking if this thread gets big enough a fix might get prioritized. nas-diagnostics-20221110-1438.zip
  8. As the title says my log keeps filling up and I just am not technical enough to read the diagnostics to try and remedy the situation. Help would be much appreciated! (Diagnostics attached) nas-diagnostics-20221110-1438.zip
  9. I ran out of slots on my mobo and I'd like to try setting up 2.5gbe on my server/network. I recently saw that there are USB 2.5gbe adapters available, is anyone using one successfully? If so what brand/model? Was it plug+play? I only found one related mention here in the forums but it is 1.5+ years old. I am running version 6.10.3 and have USB 3.1 ports available. TIA
  10. UPDATE 1: I started testing my memory one stick at a time (in slot 1) 2 sticks passed (zero errors after 1 hour+) and the 2 other sticks (tested separately and repeatedly) would not let my system POST. So I am going to run my system with the two "good" sticks and see how stable everything is. I'll update this thread either way. Thanks for the help so far! UPDATE 2: It's been over a week and everything has been stable. Once again, thanks for the help figuring this out!
  11. Thanks for the reply. What would be a good amount of time to run each memtest for each stick/slot? (I have 4 sticks/slots)
  12. Thanks for the reply, I am running Memtest and getting plenty of errors (see attached images). Pardon my ignorance but let me ask... are these types of errors solely due to the ram itself or could it be motherboard related? Should I just replace this memory? It looks to me like more than one stick has errors, does memory "go bad" like this in multiple sticks at the same time? What might cause multiple (or singular) failures like this, in other words what should I do to fix this and hopefully have it not happen again in another 2 years?
  13. I have been experiencing random lockups/freezes for several months. I am always trying out new Dockers and so I just assumed it was related to those but I have not installed (or had running) anything other than the dockers I "need" for a couple months and I continue to get random lockups. Tonight I was able to access the gui (even though some dockers and other things stopped working) and was able to download diagnostics (also included is a syslog after rebooting). I don't know what I am looking at in these logs etc. but see lots of errors. I am hoping a knowledgeable member here can take a look and sort of give me a quick roadmap as what I should look at first, second, third to try and get things stable. Any help will be much appreciated. nas-diagnostics-20220828-2210.zip nas-syslog-20220829-0410.zip
