  1. It happened again last night/this morning. I am able to use some terminal commands such as top but not others such as reboot. I've attached a screenshot of top results in case that might point to something. I looked at the (updated) syslog and there doesn't seem to be anything related to Plex. Can you take a look at the latest syslog and see if you can spot anything? I'll disable Plex and see if that makes any difference though. Thanks. syslog-192.168.0.208.log
  2. I suspect my issue is related to Plex and transcoding. A couple of weeks ago I let a friend access my Plex (remotely) and this problem seems to coincide with when this started happening (it's happened 3 times so far in the last month or so) They watch on an iPad that requires transcoding for some media. I could be completely wrong but that is the only thing that's really changed. I turned on Syslog server and things were fine for a couple of days but then this morning I couldn't access Plex on my local network and the UnRaid GUI was showing all CPUs pinned at 100% and was unresponsive (I had left a browser tab open). I suspect this is the pertinent error in the log: Mar 21 04:07:35 NAS kernel: Plex Media Scan[20791]: segfault at 0 ip 0000148e546fdeed sp 00007fffa7536610 error 4 in libavcodec.so.59[148e54587000+3e1000] likely on CPU 4 (core 4, socket 0) Mar 21 04:07:35 NAS kernel: Code: 41 56 41 54 53 0f 57 c0 0f 11 46 20 0f 11 46 10 0f 11 06 48 c7 46 30 00 00 00 00 8b 6f 10 48 8b 17 89 e9 48 89 e8 48 c1 e8 03 <8b> 04 02 0f c8 80 e1 07 d3 e0 8d 4d 10 8b 57 18 c1 e8 f0 39 ca 0f Mar 21 04:09:15 NAS kernel: Plex Transcoder[21501]: segfault at 0 ip 000014ea52efdeed sp 00007ffd32840310 error 4 in libavcodec.so.59[14ea52d87000+3e1000] likely on CPU 4 (core 4, socket 0) Mar 21 04:09:15 NAS kernel: Code: 41 56 41 54 53 0f 57 c0 0f 11 46 20 0f 11 46 10 0f 11 06 48 c7 46 30 00 00 00 00 8b 6f 10 48 8b 17 89 e9 48 89 e8 48 c1 e8 03 <8b> 04 02 0f c8 80 e1 07 d3 e0 8d 4d 10 8b 57 18 c1 e8 f0 39 ca 0f I could be completely wrong as I am not knowledgeable about this sort of thing. I have attached a diagnostics and the syslog hoping to get some help with this and possibly remedy this issue. Any help, or advice is much appreciated. nas-diagnostics-20250322-1134.zip syslog-192.168.0.208.log
  3. Thanks! That was easy! Appreciate it.
  4. I'm not knowledgeable about scripts/cron is it relatively easy to do? By easy I mean like copy/paste? Sorry I'm just not very good with stuff like that.
  5. Hard to believe this thread was started over five years ago (December 13, 2019) and still no fix. I guess this issue just doesn't affect that many users? I wonder what it is about our setups that could be causing this or perhaps we are just a minority that keeps a tab with the GUI opened.
  6. Bumping this topic, this happens to me as well. Fast Boot is disabled on my Asus ROG STRIX Z370-G GAMING mobo.
  7. I started getting health error warnings on two of my (oldest) disks and I only have one new drive at the moment to replace one of them. I have no experience reading SMART reports and I'm hoping someone with experience could take a look at the reports and let me know which drive I should replace first. I will replace the other drive asap but would appreciate help determining which one needs to be replaced first. 8. Can't Access as Media Server/Device in Windows Explorer or with my AVR's Network Music Player I was previously running a Plex server on an M1-MacMini and with some help, I've set up the binhex-plex Plex Servee docker on my Unraid server which is all working fine but the new instance of Plex does not show up for my Pioneer AVR as a network music server/source like the Mac Plex server does. It also does not appear as a media device in Windows Media Devices (which the Mac Plex does). In the Plex settings I have enabled local network discovery (GDM) and set Secure connections to preferred. The person who helped me set this up is no longer available for help and I'm really lost trying to figure out how to get this working. Any help is appreciated.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I followed your advice and CHKDSK appears to have fixed the issue with my USB drive. I went ahead and created a backup and a (new) USB drive just in case things go bad though. Appreciate you taking time to help me out, cheers!
  10. Error (re)installing, tried to update to latest but it failed and in my haste I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but get the following error: plugin: downloading: fix.common.problems-2023.07.16-x86_64-1.txz ... plugin: fix.common.problems-2023.07.16-x86_64-1.txz download failure: Generic error Executing hook script: post_plugin_checks How to fix? nas-syslog-20230720-1744.zip
  11. Latest update appears to have fixed it.
  12. I know this is an old thread but I have the same problem(s), did you ever find a solution?
  13. I occasionally have permissions issues (mostly with downloaded content) and I usually just go to Tools>Docker Safe New Perms>Additional shares can be excluded HERE and click on "HERE" and it takes me to the exclude/include interface where I only include my downloads share. Just recently though when I click on "HERE" the include/exclude setting just aren't there any longer. Did they move? Did I set some preference that hid them? How can I get this setting back? I am running Version: 6.11.5. Any help appreciated.
  14. Have you figured this out? I have the same problem.
  15. I have a Nvidia Shield (running Android TV) that accesses my server via Emby and Plex could this be the issue?
