    I think this line from your syslog says it all:
    Sep 1 15:03:14 Tower kernel: RTL8226B_RTL8221B 2.5Gbps PHY r8169-0-200:00: Downshift occurred from negotiated speed 1Gbps to actual speed 100Mbps, check cabling! Replace your ethernet cable and try it again.
  2. WN1X's post in Flash backup issue was marked as the answer   
    Depending on which browser you are using, you may need to tell the browser to keep the downloaded file. At that point, it will rename the file correctly.
