Plex Database Hacked
I had to reclaim my Plex server using a new Claim token after my password reset. I am using the official docker.

Issue with Plex Transcoder
This fixed my issue that was plaguing me as well. I just didn't have it personally as I tend to use Plex for Kodi, so it handles all the playback.

Virtualize a Rasberry Pi?
I for one would love to run this as my LMS player is Raspberry Pi based and having one less device floating around would be awesome!

[support] MakeMKV-RDP container Deprecated
Finally got this container working just now. Had tried when I first started using unRAID about a month or two ago and did something wrong, who knows what. Blew away existing config, reinstalled with proper path and port mapping, and it's doing its thing as I type this message. It hasn't gotten far enough along the current disk to say for sure, but it looks like it's going about as fast as was when I had this drive in the Windows machine that unRAID is replacing. I understand that Docker isn't really supposed to add any overhead, but you never know what the differences are going to be between two completely different systems. Now to see how long it takes to go through the pile of DVDs and Blu-rays in my closet. :-P Thanks Saarg! Took me about a month (I'm not home as much as I'd like) to get around 500 discs ripped.

Restart the docker service after connecting the drive using UD. Not just the docker container, the entire docker service. Will be trying that shortly... in the middle of a rip.

Can I not map a disk outside of the array? I'm using the Unassigned Devices plugin, the disc has files and folders on it, but when I try to pass the drive through to the docker it shows up empty in the docker. When I pass a share on the array it shows up fine. The drive is 1 TB, formatted as XFS. My thought is to save CPU cycles calculating parity for something that will only be on there short term and this APU isn't nearly as beastly as my other server... it just happens to have room for a disc drive!

OpenELEC VM Template Support
I've had issues with both of my unRAID builds and passing USB items to VMs for extended periods of time, you may want to look into passing through an entire USB controller like this or a PCI-E pass through of a controller card, which also gains you hotplug functionality if you say move a wireless keyboard around.

***GUIDE*** Passing Through Network Controllers to unRAID 6 Virtual Machines
I pass through a single GigE NIC that is the same manufacturer as my on board NIC to a HTPC VM without stubbing it. I'm using a QEMU command though.

Keep certain VM's running without array started
+1 on this as well. Main reason being pfSense.

OpenELEC VM Template Support
Yup, it seems to be intermittent, oddly enough I have a NVidia GPU installed, but not connected to anything in my box. I didn't do anything special, I just installed 6.1.7 on my USB stick, setup the VM and tried it for giggles... and it worked! I have an AMD FX 6300 on an ASUS M5A99FX R2.0 PRO board (990FX chipset), the AMD card is in the first PCI-E slot (closest to the CPU). Cards are (in order): 1: XFX ATI Radeon HD 5450 (LT OE VM) 2: Realtek Gigabit NIC (LT OE VM, since the shares on a different unRAID box, also fixes a minor issue with the network bridge not being up that messed up my centralized MySQL Kodi setup) 3: Intel PRO/1000 Dual Gigabit NIC (pfSense VM) 4: XFX NVidia GT 520 (not used, but when removed seemed to break refresh rate change + pass through) 5: PCI slot (empty) 6: Highpoint RocketRaid card (Windows VM to finish getting data of a 2x3TB drive array).

Yes, my Intel Pro/1000 shows up twice, I added it once and it works fine.

So... I have DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby Digital TrueHD Lossess bitsteaming working on my AMD FX-6300, ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0, with an XFX ATI 5450. I'm running unRAID 6.1.7 and using the LT version of OE (beta 3?). I confirmed the decoding method on my receiver as it clearly states DTS or DTS-HD Master Audio. Only issue seems to be if the VM goes to sleep (accidentally triggered this). Edit: Spoke too soon, had it working a few times... then it stopped. Files just wouldn't play with refresh rate and pass-through. Tried an old NVidia GT 520 and playback suffered for all my non-hardware decoded formats despite having enough CPU assigned to handle the playback. These formats include H.264 Hi10P, H.265 and H.264 10-bit. Edit 2: Aaand... it's back to working again. I have no clue why.

OpenELEC VM Template Support
I control mine via a combination of WMC IR receiver using the GUI USB passthrough, and the JSON IP protocol via my control system for things like "Toggle Watched" or audio/subtitle delay adjustments, as well as to pull the current video information to display on my remote.

I quit Kodi. Download the new dmg file and launch it. Drag the Kodi app to the "Applications" folder. Then I launch Kodi. This is all done via VNC usually, with a mouse. I also like to check "Recently Added" videos to be sure the artwork is decent. This is the main thing I use VNC for. I hate getting ready to watch a movie and finding out the scraper has mis-matched it. Just an OCD thing I guess. Obviously the same video file is going to play regardless, but all the info will be wrong and it'll drive me crazy throughout the movie. For me it would be very hard to operate Kodi without a monitor. I would always be wanting to know what it looked like. Ok, so you install Kodi on top of another OS (like Ubuntu or otherwise), then you use a VNC server inside that OS to access the OS. With OpenELEC I think you can do the same thing by downloading a VNC add-on for OpenELEC. I haven't done this myself yet, so I'd need to look into it more, but seems like it should be doable. Yes. It's a MacMini. It works great but it's kind of a waste since most of the features of MacOS are never used. That's the main reason I was looking at running Kodi from my unRaid. It would let me put the Mini to use as a network server. It could probably run Kodi and Yosemite Server both simultaneously, but with a core 2 duo processor I'm afraid there might occasionally be issues. Is there anyway I could test the openelec VM and VNC addon without buying a GPU? If you just need a player and don't use oddball formats (H.264 Hi10P, or H.265) maybe get a Raspberry Pi 2 B or something similar? Far cheaper than a Mac Mini and with OpenELEC becomes more appliance than project. If you need H.265 support, the new Fire TV will have support for that, as do several Android based boxes that have Kodi installed, or it can be installed on. If you need Hi10P the options are all basically expensive as it requires a fair bit of horsepower to play properly. There are quite a few ways to get Kodi cheaply onto a display if you have the network in place.

With Windows you sometimes need to force a new HDMI handshake by unplugging and replugging the HDMI, or making sure the display is powered on before the PC. It could also be driver related, I've had numerous issues with AMD cards and HDMI audio (latest drivers flat do not work in Win 7 or 8... looolz); it's possible that you may have a similar issue.

What do you use for metadata management?
I just let Kodi scrape all my media, I don't use Media Center due to lack of codec/feature support. I only use Media Center for recording my live TV

OpenELEC VM Template Support
Well, in the wiki I do make mention: Select any USB Devices you wish to use with the VM (such as a keyboard, mouse, or infrared receiver) Can you further explain what you mean here? I'm not understanding. So are you saying you want OpenELEC to hold in the boot process until it acquires an IP address? Is that the net of your request? If so, that should be a relatively simple adjustment. 1) Totally skipped the wiki (I had a reasonable idea of what I was getting into so skipped it, my bad). 2) In the OpenELEC Settings addon's Network section there is an option for "Wait for network before starting XBMC" that doesn't seem to happen. 3) Effectively, yes, however I have an issue with attempting to enact the same effect on a Kodibuntu VM... since it only happens on startup of the VM, I just make it a point to either change users or reboot the VM currently. I think this may possibly be related to this issue with PXE boot VMs? Going to read up on when/how updates are handled as I need to maintain three installations of Kodi (one Windows VM, one bare metal, and the unRAID OE VM) On the upside, having the VM capability means I actually use most of the CPU in my server! (3 cores for Kodi, 1 for Dockers, and 2 for unRAID)

OK, I found a Radeon HD5570 (which is probably a little older than the 560ti still), but re-created the VM with the new GPU, then seeing the video passthrough to the connected monitor. I still had to click next for all of the default settings with the USB Keyboard on the server before the Kore would connect, but once I did, Kore on my Android tablet then saw the server and connected as I expected it too and am now browsing and adding my shares. Sorry for blowing up your Template support thread! Thanks for your help and patience! Blowing it up? Not at all! You are the first person to use it for what it's actually meant! Glad it's working for you but its still weird that you had to click through using a USB device before you use the Kore app. Still not sure why that was the case, but either way, if its working, its working. I get the feeling that part of the guide should include using a USB device for control during initial set up. Either a remote or a keyboard... having set up OE several times from scratch I stuck a keyboard on the VM for first boot. That said, I have an issue the option to wait for network in OE doesn't work on the VM. Since I use a MySQL central server if the network isn't up before the program loads it will not load my Movies/TV tabs.

Mine is specifically running to a pair of Tascam VL-S5 Studio Monitors with a $10 USB DAC, sounds pretty amazing for my common space (living room/dining room/kitchen).

Ah, understood. Even more thanks are in order then! I invested into the ecosystem over a Roku box way back with the original Squeezebox. The deciding factor back then was Squeeze supporting WPA wireless and the Roku only WEP (with a "promise" for firmware updates, and we all know how that works). The only thing that has almost tempted me since is the Sonos kit, but now that I am invested these devices work a treat and are kid friendly. It is a shame that Logitech have basically killed off the hardware side, so whenever I see well priced second hand units I grab them. I have three booms, a duet and four radios. For those that want units, the Logitech Smartradio can be "downgraded" using built in functionality to the SqeezeRadio functionality. If you are looking to experiment at all, you can grab the headless player SqueezeLite (https://code.google.com/p/squeezelite/) that will play out via your PC speakers. Fully controllable from the WebUI. The only issue I have with that is it tends to turn off with power settings, limiting the use on the media centre (shame as that is the primary user of my main hifi gear). It also isn't overly friendly it seems in sharing the channel, if I play a video it doesn't want to start playing again. I'm going to try and port a copy to .NET and deal to play with this (and ignore or demand a no-hibernate run mode via the appropriate APIs). If you want to take any testing offline, drop me a PM and I'll flick you an email address. Cheers! Have you looked into using a Raspberry Pi B+ with either a USB DAC or one of the GPIO DACs? I currently use a Model B (no plus, so USB DAC) to play off the LMS, so I have no Squeeze hardware in my apartment. Bonus points for being controllable from my Crestron system via a module.

For the Logitech Media Server docker, is there anyway to add Shairport (Airplay) plug-in support? I like how much more responsive the LMS interface is running on my unRAID box rather on my Pi, and would like to have Airplay capability. https://github.com/StuartUSA/shairport_plugin
