OK thanks. Should I run New Config in the old server and then power down without assigning drives or move the drives to the new server and then run it?

I have 5 hdds but I will move down to 4 hdds once I moved the data off of the last hdd. I am also moving from a 5 bay down to a 4 bay server. Once the data is moved can I click New Config in the 5 bay server and then discard the unwanted hdd and then put the remaining 4 hdds into the 4 bay and assign slots and start server?

Can someone tell me what the process is especially without proof of purchase?

I am upgrading from 4 x 18tb to 4 x 20tb hdds. I am not running preclear on the new drives. (Should I run preclear on all drives?) Is this procedure correct: 1) parity check 2) remove 18tb parity and insert 20tb parity 3) parity rebuild 4) parity check 5) remove 18tb hdd1 6) insert 20tb hdd1 7) data rebuild remove 18tb hdd2 9) insert 20tb hdd2 10) and so on Is this correct? Is there anything I can do to make this faster?

I am using an Asus XT12 mesh router.

After the reboot it was writing perfectly at a constant 113 and then with 46% written it suddenly drops to 31. unraid-diagnostics-20231008-1238.zip

I am transferring a 75gb file from my PC to Unraid server. PC is connected via wifi 6 or 1GBe ethernet and server is connected to router via 2.5GBe ethernet. On wired its writing at 113MB/s then it drops to about 30 to 60. I reboot the router and then its back up to 113 and now its writing perfectly at 113. unraid-diagnostics-20231008-1202.zip

I have the exact same problem but I am not using dockers or vm. I used to have 110MB/s plus on wireless and ethernet. I reboot and the speed is back but then after a while it drops again. unraid-diagnostics-20231007-1921.zip

I do this already with a mesh kit. It's a joke that unraid doesn't support wifi in 2023!!

Which server software is similar to Unraid but supports WiFi and ssd

I mean ethernet to wifi. Unraid still does not support wifi and using the adaptor is another way to do it.

Are there any wifi 6 WiFi to Ethernet adapters and powered by usb?

I started this thread more than 3 years ago and still no WiFi support.

Where are these located?

None. The hdd cleared perfectly.

I did not do anything with the drive. I also used the default settings on Preclear.
