  1. I have installed a new mobo that has 2.5gbe ethernet and wifi 6e. Is there a way to install wifi drivers myself?
  2. Wifi 7 is only around the corner!!
  3. Yes I will need igpu. I will look at the asrock z690m as well but the price is very close to the z790m. All this expensive change just to have 2.5gbe!!
  4. Pcpartpicker recommended asrock z790m-itx. Are these any good though? I will be using a intel i3 12100 with it.
  5. I want to make the switch over to 2.5gbe as my WD Gold can write at about 250MB/s. Motherboard needs to have 4 sata ports and maybe WiFi 6e. Which motherboard is recommended?
  6. Wifi 7 is just around the corner!!
  7. This thread is over 2 years old and therefore is there any update on adding wifi to Unraid?
  8. Which mobo has the v1500b on it? (I need 4 sata ports and graphics).
  9. I have the server in my signature below. The space is very tight in a U Nas 401 case and therefore limited airflow. The cooler fan speeds up and down even when the server is at rest. I only use the server for storing films and nothing more and maybe the 3200g is overkill. The mobo is very overkill! I have been thinking of getting a 3000g, 200ge or 300ge processor to reduce power consumption so that the fan can stop ramping up and down. Or is there a better way to reduce power consumption?
  10. Current build is this: CASE: NAS6 6 Bay (Mini-ITX Store) / MOBO: Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro Wifi CPU: AMD 3200G / RAM: Corsair LPX DDR4 16GB / PSU: Corsair SF450 HDD: 4 x 18tb WD Gold WD181KRYZ I am looking to go from a 6 Bay to 4 Bay case by either buying one like a qnap 453 pro (but its too old) or buying a 4 Bay case like a U-Nas 401. I need my new nas to be SFF with video, 2.5gbe, wifi 6 and internal psu. The 401 has a max cpu cooler height of 30mm which is difficult depending on how much heat the cpu generates. Any recommendations?
  11. The two detect boxes are blanked out.
  12. I have installed the latest Dynamix 2020.06.21 but its not detecting my controllers. I have a gigabyte x570 wifi aorus itx board.
  13. Are we any closer to supporting wifi on unraid?

  17. I am currently preclearing 4 x 18tb WD Gold hdds. I have noticed that one drive is 52 minutes slower on the preclear stage than all of the other drives. Is there anything to worry about?
  18. Maybe better support for USB3.0 as I remember my server refused to boot from USB3.0? (Will USB2.0 ports be removed from motherboards in the future?)

I am getting 4 x 18tb WD Gold HDDs soon. I always run prelcear on new drives but I did that 3 years ago on my 12TB Seagate Ironwolf HDDs. Do I still need to do it now?
  20. Is limetech working on implementing wifi on unraid? Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk
  21. Wifi 5 is awful for servers, however wifi 6 is fantastic. Very close to gigabit speeds.
  22. Is someone working on these drivers? Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk
  23. So all of the sed functions are off by default? Sed drives are cheaper than the standard drives.
