  1. I'm planning on upgrading to v6 sometime in the next week or so and trying to get at least a rough list of dockers and such that will also need to be installed. With the expanded functionality of v6, many of the features I currently use unMenu for are handled except for DS_Store cleanup. I see that unMenu is being updated to v6 so I'm guessing that cleanup is still supported there, but it seems like a waste of resources to install it just to run one package. Is there a simpler way in v6 to accomplish the cleanup on a cron schedule?
  2. edit- moved to v6 forum Sorry for the double post. Perhaps a mod could move any discussion in this thread to the v6 forum.
  3. I'm still using 5.0.5. Will probably upgrade next week while I'm on vacation. If I follow this upgrade guide can I upgrade directly to most current version or do I need to upgrade to 6.0.0 first.
  4. I'm still working on updating to v6.0 so I'm not quite ready to install this, but trying to get my ducks in a row ahead of time. I'm not much good with Linux and not quite sure what to do with this command. Do I just telnet in and run the wget command after I install this plugin? Or maybe before I install the plugin? Just to be sure I'm understanding correctly, the plugin will include notification options with this version of preclear?
  5. Is this saying that upgrades are free for users with previous licenses? I have 2 v5 pro keys (2 pack) and I'm not quite sure what it's going to cost for me to upgrade them.
  6. Here's the log from the latest occurrence. Maybe third times the charm? syslog.txt.zip
  7. If you are using Screen you can run multiple preclear sessions and cycles. You can also connect via telnet from any computer and view each preclear session (assuming you are running a VPN server on your local network). It's described in the tutorial. Running preclear via the console, I don't think any of this is possible. As the tutorial says, preclearing without Screen is not recommended. I could be wrong though. I've always done it via Screen to avoid any possible problems.
  8. This should help- http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Configuration_Tutorial#Preclear_Hard_Drives Edit: I believe you'll need to follow the section for multiple sessions using Screen.
  9. So I don't need to worry about the warning that Powerdown doesn't take the drives offline properly in v5?
  10. Thanks. I'll have to make some time to do some research and figure out how to modify the plugin for use with version 5. Have to figure out how to install plugins too I guess.
  11. This will reboot the array? Yes Just to be sure, it's the unmenu "powerdown-2.06-noarch-unRaid.tgz" package? Just want to be sure I'm installing the correct package.
  12. Thanks for this. Worked great after I figured out the typo. Think I'll save it myself for next time.
  13. Thanks. I've attached a copy of syslog if anyone cares to have a look. It's unedited per previous discussion of this problem, so it's rather long. I know the gui was responding as of yesterday morning so whatever happened occurred within the last 48 hours or so. I see a few "Machine check events" (not sure what that is), but nothing obviously related. Not that I would know. syslog-2015-04-04.txt.zip
  14. Thanks. Is there anything I need to do prior to rebooting to preserve logs etc.? I would really like to fix whatever problem is causing the gui to crash.
  15. This has been a recurring problem that seems to happen randomly. Before I start trying to solve it I'd like to develope a basic game plan. I'm fairly sure that rebooting the server will bring it back online. How can I do this safely without access to the web gui? What do I need to post to get some help diagnosing the cause for this repeating problem? Edit: I have access to the shares and also to unMenu, just not the unRaid GUI.
  16. Just turn on the ups. Attach your devices after the battery reaches a full charge.
  17. My experience with the Seagates has been about the same as yours. I won't buy anymore. I've been using WD Reds for almost 2 years and haven't had any problems at all with them. Performance is good and the temps average about 5C lower than my other drives.
  18. Thanks. I deleted a bunch of mover log entries to shorten the log a little. Next time I'll leave them in though if you think they're important to the problem.
  19. Glad to know I'm not the only one having this problem. Doubt if it's being caused by the plugins though, I'm not running any other than unmenu. Wish I knew a way to stop this.
  20. This seems to be happening randomly, every 3 or 4 weeks or so. I have to telnet in and take the array offline then reboot to get the webGUI back. I saved the log this time for the past couple of days and posted it on pastebin (too big to attach). Hopefully it will show something in the past 48 hours or so.
  21. I can browse the disks in the webgui by clicking on the folder/magnifying glass icon, but I don't see how to delete the folders? It just opens the folder when I click the link. If I just use a file browser and connect to the share I can add or delete files, but I can't see which disks they are being copied to or deleted from. How do I browse the individual disks and delete duplicate folders?
