So I could get crashplan family + unlimited for only $6 a month. I could use it for all pc's in household and could I get it working Unraid. That would be an awesome deal.

Well I ordered a new htpc case for my living and will be doing some pc building next week. I plan on taking out mobo and processor of a cheap Emachine AMD x2 220 and putting it in a new case and new psu with home server installed. I am also thinking of using crashplan as a second back up source.

I was talking with a guy who was telling me I should build a cheap WHS box for backing up all my PC's. Would using a program like Acronis or Norton for backing up to my unraid be comparable to a WHS box? He was saying how easy it is to restore from WHS. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk

Another strange thing is that I am having trouble accessing the share from my pc that is doing commercial scanning on that recorded tv share. The pc is a quad core amd with 16gb ram so it should not have trouble. I can access the recorded tv share quickly from my old wireless laptop. syslog-2012-02-13.txt

Ran smart test and it passed. It seems to be only the one share giving me trouble. I tried resiserfsck but is said md7 was not found. I went to disk 7 and all the other shares on it I can access with windows explorer no problem but still the recorded tv folder I am having trouble with even now through the disk7 folder in explorer.

Ok I am running a long smart report today and if something is wrong how easy if the smart report to understand for a pc noob like me. I also went into my //tower page and in there the share pulled up quickly and I noticed all the files are on the same drive. But when trying to access to windows explorer it gets nowhere. All my media from recorded tv share is on disk 7. I can access everything on disk 7 quickly and normal through windows explorer and even see the recorded v share media. But having no luck with Recorded tv share access and it seems like I am having trouble writing to it.

I have been transferring TV recordings to my tv recordings share. All other shares I can access through explorer but when trying to access tv recordings it is slow and never loads. I do not have a a ups on anything in my house. I am thinking the first place I should put one is on my server and main pc that is next to my server. Would this ups be good enough to protect both products? Also should I have a ups for router, switch and modem? What about tv's with pc's hooked up to them. Just looking for opinions thank you

I had sickbeard and sabnzb installed on Unraid but was having problems with them remembering settings on a restart or shutdown. I moved them to my desktop pc but was seeing if anyone knows how to get sickbeard to see the unraid on my network. Sickbeard only sees the drives hooked up to the desktop.

I am having trouble with my mising config settings on restart also. I can shut down sabnzb and restart from the unmenu scripts and sabnzb settings will be retrieved. But with sickbeard I have to re-enter all my settings even after a shut down/restart.

OK I ran my first pre clear and have no idea what the report means. Just asking if someone would look at it and let me know how the pre clear came out. Thanks preclear_wd.txt

My server became unresponsive during pre clearing a drive and I was not able to access the server. I was able to access the server via a monitor and it was repeating this "Reiserfs error on sdg1". I ran "reiserfsck --check /dev/sdg1" and it found no corruptions. I still need to run pre clear but trying to figure out what happened. Thanks

I picked up my server after it got the mobo and hdd replaced. I am trying to preclear a drive and move some files around. The server will lock up because I can no longer access it on the network or through the monitor hooked up to it. The only think I know to do that works is holding the power button down and reboot, but it will freeze up again. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated, Thanks.
