Hi, i'm currently running a couple of microservers and a larger SM server which i'd like to takeover the job. I've acquired a couple of hba cards and cables i should be ok slotwise. Can i ask what's the recommened (?) course of actions? Can i just lift the drives and plug'em in to the larger server all at once or is it better to stagger insertion? Anything i should be doing prior to moving them out of the microservers? Currently upgrading all servers to 6.7 to be on the safe side. Only thing i can see is that one of the two microservers discs are still reiserfs formatted, will this be a problem at all. I appreciate that xfs is the way to go but i really just want to rollup to one larger server and then sort things out if possible. PS What's the drive limit on unraid licenses these days?

Hi ... have just upgraded to 6.7 and the next run of FixCommonProblems has advised, for the first time (?) that i do NOT seem to have write cache enabled on my three data discs. Good advice, no doubt, but how can i a) check that thisis correct and b) fix it! Bear in mind that i'm PC illiterate, cheers!

Thanks ... i'm sorted now. Yes, i had moved all docker appdata stuff earlier. All that was left was the docker image which i deleted. Cache swapped and all mover'ed back on successfully. Docker reenabled and images repulled. All *looks* to be fine. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

Well ... that all went reasonably well and all i have left on the cache drive is a docker image and, what appears to be a ghost share entry. Can i just delete the docker image and recreate it when docker is restarted eithout any adverse effect? As for the ghost ...it references a share which, when looking at the collective share shows the files as being on disk1 only yet when looking at it from the cache iself shows on there also. So two differing views but will it stop me emptying the cache disk completely. Or should i just pull the cache drive, replace it and see whats left? Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

Thanks. Think i'll stick with the plugin. The whole script issues seems as prone to contention as the plugin itself. I've cleared multiple drives over recent weeks. All have stalled during the third cycle. I normally just restart and the clearance completes. Only the last clearance caused problems of being unable to access CA app repository. Strange i know but i then removed the plugin and all problems disappeared but the log was filling with error mesages. So i'll stick with using the plugin when needed and then remove. Thanks. I preclear EVERY disk with 3 cycles. Can i do this without the plugin? What i noticed is that my system always became unresponsive part way through a third cycle. Now i know that this may have been down to log filling up. Any idea on that error code which miraculously disappeared once i removed EVERY component of preclear including the removed entrues themselves. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

Hi ... i've just removed the preclear plugin and rebooted my server. However the system log is generating the following errors at 2sec intervals ... 'Jun 21 16:21:23 smtower nginx: 2018/06/21 16:21:23 [error] 5338#5338: *1 FastCGI sent in stderr: "Primary script unknown" while reading response header from upstream, client: 192.168.1.68, server: , request: "POST /plugins/preclear.disk/Preclear.php HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "192.168.1.15", referrer: "http://192.168.1.15/Docker" Any ideas ? 192.168.1.68 appears to be the web session from which i'm browsing but i'm assuming that some bit of preclear is still being 'probed' for want of a better word. The plugin does not show on the gui and has no plg left in plugin folder on flash? Update ... why is it in italic, i've no idea! But ... i removed the preclear plg file from the 'removed' plugins folder and the errors have stopped!! Strange eh. And ... i've been having problems accessing the appstore for a few days. That also has resolved itself with the removal of the plugin. But ... I still NEED the plugin so will install/remove on an as and when basis in future. Not ideal but ... any ideas on what was wrong greatly appreciated.

For some reason my app search on just one of my servers has stopped working. Not sure if it has worked recently but not had any prompts now that i think about it. I am unable to retrieve anything although i still do get the three 'random' apps of the day so, to me, that indicates my access is still ok. I do get the search boxes ie home, installed etc being returned and my settings are still at default. The other two servers on the same network are both ok. Search immediately returns the expected results. Any ideas chaps? Running 6.5.2 for info. Update ... just updated to 6.5.3, still the same. I AM able to update all dockets its just the retrieval of app list that isnt working for me. Possible that somethings full somewhere?? Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

Thanks but i meant is it possible to get into the gui from command line on an attached monitor when netrlwork access has been lost. I run the server headless but have atrached a monitor which just gives me cmd access. Possible to get into gui from there or at least rin some commands to try and see whats going on. If not then i assume i can at least run a clean powerdown (how?) from command line. I xant rin tools, diagnostics as i have no gui access ... Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

I have 3 headless microservers running 6.5.2 ... One of these is losing network access on a regular basis which i now need to address. I do have access to command line but have no idea of how i can check or attempt to fix this. Anyone able to give me heads up on commands needed to investigate.
