7.1.2 Wrong Pool State tank~special - orphan ZFS subpool tank~cache orphan ZFS subpool
There are 94 disks on this server, unfortunately I'm on a tablet and can't copy and paste the full output, but I screen shot what I thought would be the applicable part of the output above, if there is another area of the output you want to see, please let me know and ill screen shot it. But output shows all disks online and I don't see anything suspicious

7.1.2 Wrong Pool State tank~special - orphan ZFS subpool tank~cache orphan ZFS subpool
For some unknown reason unraid lost all my pools, the names were all there, but all were set to one device. I recreated all the pools in the Pool devices page, did a zpool import, and still get an error starting poool. Zpool status shows all pools online including tank~special and tank~cache Array won't start. Any ideas?

Unraid 7.0.0 zfs disk still blue
Ok, Did new config, keep all assignments, and it worked this time. I either hit done instead of apply, or rebooted last time. I unsure. But its working now and doing parity, which it definitely didn't do last time. Thanks for your help.

Unraid 7.0.0 zfs disk still blue
Geesh, that's a lot of work, I'll have to try it later. To bad unraid can't do that automatically. I'll try new configuration, keeping all assignments first Update, that didn't work. I'll have to try other solution later.

Or do I need to manually do something?

Plex crashes same time everynight
I started having random reboots two days ago after some automated updates of Dockers and plugins. I rebooted in safe mode and the problem went away. I still have to figure out the culprit, but I think nut was one that was updated, and plan to start there. Have not looked what may of had new update in last few days, but if I find the culprit ill post back, please do the same.

unRAID server unresponsive
I was having similar issues, I read somewhere to log out of the web gui when not interacting for extended periods of time, I used to just always leave the session open even for days without using it on my desktop. Since I started logging out when I don't plan on using the web interface I haven't had any issues. Might be worth a try.

Unraid turns 19
I've enjoyed the ride with unraid about 16 years now, hands down, one of the few things in the computer software world that consistently delivered me value over the long term. Thanks unraid, and all my unraid brothers and sisters for keeping g this company alive. Cheers to many more years to come.

pool with large number of disks some advice please
I had the opportunity to purchase 46 very old, but still working Dell 4CMD9 Constellation ST3000NM0023 3TB 7.2k SAS Hard Drives for $260 shipped. Now normally, I wouldn't mess with such small drives, but for $260, well its hard to turn down and I won't cry over losing $5.60 drives over time lol I already have a 45 bay Super micro sas2 enclosure sitting unused, so lets fill it up. Anyway, this is mostly an experiment with zfs for me, no critical data, or frequently accessed data will be stored on this pool but I would like to try to not totally loose the pool due to the eventual and possibly frequent drive failures. My thought is to set up 5 - 9 disk wide raid-z2 pools with one hot spare (in another enclosure) to maximize storage with a reasonable amount of fault tolerance. Does this sound like a good plan? Additionally I have 4 HITACHI HUSMH842 CLAR200 200gb SSDs laying around that I was considering adding to this pool as a special vdev in a 3 way mirror in my main sas3 enclosure holding one as a cold spare. But I'm unsure is 200gb would be large enough for this pool. And 3rd I have a 2tb pci4 name on this system I thought of trying to use as a l2arc cache for this pool, not so much for performance, but as an attempt to keep this pool spun down as much as possible. (it will mostly be hosting a very large hyper spin retro game collection, with infrequent use and hoping most used files wind up on l2arc) Does this seem like a good plan? I'm trying to avoid that "I should of done it another way" feeling as I learn and experiment. Does anyone have any recommendations and comments welcome Thanks in advance.

7.0.0 beta 2. Web error toggling on shh
When toggling on shh from off to on or on to off via web gui http://10.0.0.9/Settings/ManagementAccess returns error on url http://unraid3.local/Settings/ManagementAccess This site can’t be reached Check if there is a typo in unraid3.local. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN I noticed it changed the url from the machines ip access to unraid3.local on the page with error I'm guessing there might be a hosts file that may need to be updated or something simple like that. If such a file, should it of been automatically updated, or does it require manual entry. And where does this file exist. All 3 of my unraid servers do this. Any advice?

SuperMicro CSE 847 36 Bay 4U SAS 3 Barebone Chassis 2x PWS-1K28P-SQ
There are links to the Super micro docs for the back planes of the unit I linked Keep in mind they configured these with different backplane configurations The ones in this unit are sas3 with built in SAS multipliers, you can use an 8 port sas 3 hba to drive all 36 drives Other then that its a big case and redundant power supplies, this unit has the -sq super quiet power supplies, so less noisy then the standard power supplies

SuperMicro CSE 847 36 Bay 4U SAS 3 Barebone Chassis 2x PWS-1K28P-SQ
Looks nice, I’m real happy with mine too, but got 36 disks in it now, thinking about getting another case, now I got to decide if it’s going to be another unbraid server, or just an expansion shelf to the current on with its own hba. Rumor has it that unbraid will support more then on unbraid array in the future. Then again I could move some dockers to the new server, lots to think about..
