I gave up. It doesn’t work and there is no actual support anywhere.

@ich777 @Squid this should be pulled from the app store until it’s repaired and made functional or the support thread is active with answers

  2. Hello, I'm in the process of ordering parts for a new plex server build. I plan on making my system site level redundant and would like advice on replicating the media across a 200 mile distance.

I can use syncthing for things like photos, but that doesn't seem to scale well with thousands of larger objects like movies and tv shows.

    Neither site has a datacap.

  3. I have an unraid host with these specs:

Rosewill 4u Server Chassis - Ryzen 9 3900x - ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING WIFI II - Cruzer Ultra Fit 16GB
    Crucial RAM 32GB DDR4 2666MHz - EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GS 80 Plus Gold - Nvidia RTX3090 - 8x Seagate Exos 18TB

I'm looking to upgrade my plex server as I'm having issues with database integrity (binhex-plexpass) and I'm thinking about replacing the proc and nvidia GPU to allow for a Hyper-X 4.0 card.

    I can either do a

    1) intel i7-1200 with new motherboard, cooler and RAM (USD 1200)

    2) Mac Mini refurb off amazon (USD 425)

    3) Nvidia Shield Pro

I would like to be able to do other things with my unraid server so I need more single threaded performance (move to intel or free up capability by moving plex off the system.)

If I'm going to spend 1200 I could spend 2k and by a used server, that is an option, it's not like I have much to do with a RTX 3090 these days.

I would like to be able to leverage my 10gb core network, so a USB adapter would be used on the Mac Mini or the shield if it will support it.

I'm not sure what the right option here is, looking for someone to shoot holes in my thoughts.

Tried latest unRAID USB Flash Creator on Windows 11 and when attaching a SanDisk Cruzer Glide 3.0 64GB I see the 'incompatible' error. I then moved that USB drive to macOS and it sees the GUID allowing me to create the unRAID USB Flash drive without issue. Just sharing my experience with SanDisk.

The USB creator on windows generally seems to not work.

  5. Hello, I keep getting a database malformed issue. I'm running on two newer NVMe drives and have no detectable memory errors. I would like some help trying to get this resolved as it's made some of the movies and tv episodes unplayable.

Please let me know what logs you need. Thank you.

Awesome container, just found it and giving it a spin as a replacement for Plex. Some questions about the docker though, it looks like it only exposes the http port to the network, but none of the others.

I am giving the container it's own IP and would like to use HTTPS to access it, but I am unclear on how I expose that port (8920) for clients to connect. I added it to the docker, but it does not show up and the connection is denied when I try to connect. I also want to open up the client discovery port (UDP 7359) so that my TVs and other such devices can find the server and make the setup easier.

I edited the Docker, added the ports, matched their settings to the one already defined port and this did not work. So there is a step or something I am missing.

did you or @xhaloz ever figure this out?

I believe shfs is single threaded for a single operation.

I have quite a bit going on.

My App volume is two NVMe drives in a RAID 0, thats the drive thats so busy.

I set aside CPU 0 for unraid, but it's not enough apparently. I would like to see SHFS become multi threaded. Even if it's just kept to the first 4 cores or it's assignable with a required minimum.

I have 24 threads, but I use CPU 0 at 100% and the rest run about 1-5% most of the time. I see this as an issue, I have a pretty robust processor even with it being a few years old.

Would I benefit from a 5950X? or should I wait to upgrade to a server grade processor?

Server load is quite high, and there's something reading and writing to at least two disks in the array, so it might be normalnormal, but you can stop everything if you want to find out what it is.

Sonarr has quite a large database. I can't figure out why it's only using CPU 0.

    is unraid that single threaded?
