[Support] Linuxserver.io - Nextcloud
I tried both. Mapping /data to /mnt/disk1/Nextcloud and changing the included/excluded disks aswell but my parity and disk1 still do not spin down when the container is running. I'm using Nextcloud together with Nginex-letsencrypt. Don't know if that's the reason maybe. Are you using it this way aswell?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Nextcloud
I actually have all disks included in /mnt/user/Nextcloud. Is this maybe the reason why my disks do not spin down? Should I include only one disk here maybe?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Nextcloud
had this issue myself until I added the custom.cnf file via telnet. Don't know why it didn't work with notepad++ for me before. Hope this helps for you aswell. I just recognied something else with my setup. I don't know what's the reason but my parity drive and disk 1 does not stop spinning anymore when I have Nextcloud running. I have /data from Nextcloud mapped to /mnt/user/Nextcloud on disk 1 and it seems something is happening there all the time. Does anyone else experience this?

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
Hi, I've been using a precleared drive as a hot spare for quite some time now. I had the problem that the drive was always spinning after I woke up my server. So I installed the UD plugin and now the drive at least does show as spun down. I have not mounted the drive with unassigned devices or something. It's just not assigned to the array. So my question is if unassigned devices plugin really prevents the drive from spinning up or if the actual status is just not reported anymore? Just want to make sure that the drive stays really spun down just because I installed this plugin.

I finally got it working I just edited the custom.cnf file via telnet. Don't know why it didn't work with notepad++ (I also set the line endings to unix)

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Nextcloud
still can't get this to work tried the steps suggested but it still seems to ignore the change of the binlog format..... I also removed the # infront of the line What I noticed is that when clicking on the user in MySQL Workbench it says "no password is set for this account" although I set the password to "nextcloud"

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Nextcloud
Hi, I tried to follow the guide by CHBMB to install Nextcloud with MariaDB but even when i change the binlog_format to mixed I get the following: An exception occurred while executing 'INSERT INTO `oc_users` ( `uid`, `password` ) VALUES( ?, ? )' with params ["admin", "1|$2y$10$Nl2x6fxx3Xd7c4dsukN4HOIjBW6q3ZAH98il5DL2et3eZpnlgNRPy"]: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1665 Cannot execute statement: impossible to write to binary log since BINLOG_FORMAT = STATEMENT and at least one table uses a storage engine limited to row-based logging. InnoDB is limited to row-logging when transaction isolation level is READ COMMITTED or READ UNCOMMITTED. I already tried reinstalling and restarting the MariaDB container but still the same. Now I read this: And I'm wondering how to change the file inside the container without accessing it through my smb share. Can someone help me here please?

Preclear plugin
Can someone help please? is it normal that unassigned drives are spun up alle the time and never spin down? I'd like to have them spun down all the time.

[Plug-In] Community Applications
Hi, just for me to understand. Why am I not allowed to set a destination such as /mnt/user/Backup/USB for the USB backup (seperate destination) and /mnt/disk2/Backup/appdata for the cache appdata folder? Or do I misinterpret the quote above?

Preclear plugin
Hi, I just used the preclear plugin for one new disk that I want to use as a replacement drive and therefore keep it unassigned. However, I'm using this command with the S3 sleep plugin after wake up to spin up all drives. /usr/bin/wget -q -O - localhost/update.htm?cmdSpinupAll=Spin%20Up >/dev/null As I'm a Linux noob I don't know if this only spins up the drives of the array or unassigned devices aswell. But it seems so because the precleared disk is spun up after wake up and will never spin down anymore. So can I adjust the command above so that it only refers to the array? Or how do I achive that the precleared disk does not spin up anymore?

Intel IGD (integrated graphics) Pass Through Support - March 2016 Update
Are there any news if this might be possible with the release of v6.2 already? I'm very exited to use my Q25 build with LibreELEC and SteamOS at once

Dynamix - V6 Plugins
Hi, I have a problem to start my LibreELEC VM after S3 sleep automatically. The "Auto Start" button in the VM settings is only meant to start the VM after starting the array, is that correct? So is there any command I can use to wake my VM after sleep? Thanks in advance.

[CONTAINER] CrashPlan & CrashPlan-Desktop
Hi, I just reinstalled the crashplan docker because I had the black screen issue before (described a few pages back) But now, when I try to enter the webUI I get: "Failed to connect to server (code: 1006)" Does anyone know how to solve this please?

[CONTAINER] CrashPlan & CrashPlan-Desktop
thanks, I'll backup the appdata for each container except the one for crashplan to my array then. Another thing I just noticed... I use the s3 sleep plugin and it triggers when all drives of the array are spun down. With crashplan running (I noticed that two times already) it happens that my drives including parity always keep spinning. I don't have files to backup selected yet so crashplan shouldn't do anything I think. When I stop the container all drives spin down as normal. Is there some setting that can cause this behavior?

[CONTAINER] CrashPlan & CrashPlan-Desktop
okay, thanks for clarifiying. So what I want to do is backing up my appdata folder if my cache drive should fail. Would it be possible then to restore all my docker applications after manually reinstalling crashplan first?

[CONTAINER] CrashPlan & CrashPlan-Desktop
Okay, thanks for clearing up. I'll remove the /flash mount then. btw, here is a screenshot of the destination window within crashplan. All the mounted paths are in there: backup, config, unassigned, UNRAID Where do all the other folders come from?

[CONTAINER] CrashPlan & CrashPlan-Desktop
Hi, yesterday I set up the crashplan container and don't really understand the need of some of the default volume mappings. So for me it looks like this: /config >> /mnt/cache/appdata/crashplan/ /UNRAID >> /mnt/user /unassigned >> /mnt/disks (what is this mapping for?) /backup >> /mnt/user/Backup/ (I think I don't actually need this one because I already have the second mapping right?) /flash >> /boot (I added this one manually) I also noticed that when browsing in crashplan for a destination folder for example it lists a few folders where I don't actually know where they are comming from. Are these maybe folders from inside the docker.img? (Can't post a screenshot right now) Maybe someone can clear me up here. Thank you

ah ok I think I misunderstood this feature then. I deinstalled from the dashboard tab. thank you

[Plug-In] Community Applications
For me its not doing so it seems. Just deinstalled a conntainer (image + container) from the webgui that has /config as volume and is mapped to /mnt/cache/appdata/... The appdata folder is still there. Updated to latest CA 2016.03.28a before.

[Plug-In] Community Applications
Hi, while deleting some docker containers I wanted to set up from scratch again I noticed that CA did not delete the appropriate appdata folders. Some time ago there was an option for CA where the appdata location could be specified (which I did), this is gone aswell for me. So my question, was this feature removed or is this a bug somehow?

Dynamix - V6 Plugins
Hi, I am pretty new to unraid and just got my first server up with v6.1.6 trying to get the S3 Sleep Plugin working. I followed the Wiki here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Setup_Sleep_(S3)_and_Wake_on_Lan_(WOL) and I am able to get my server asleep by Telnet, with the button under the arry operations page and the execute function worked aswell. But I am only able to wake it up with the Wakeup.bat file as described in the Wiki. Shouldn't my server wake up aswell when trying to access a user share over the network for example? I am not sure if I need to make any further adjustments as described in the Wiki (e.g. generating a sleep script) as I thought that this would already be covered by installing the plugin through the link of this thread. Hope someone can clear me up. Thank you!

First unRAID build (H87I-PLUS / Lian Li PC-Q25)
Hi everyone, I follow this forum for quiet some time now and am about to build my very first (unraid) server. I really like the PC-Q25 and I think that roland's build would fit my requirements pretty good. I mainly want to use it as NAS (HD/4K-streaming) and also want to install some dockers I think. Maybe in the future I want to make use of virtual machines but I don't think that I will install a graphics card so IOMMU isn't a topic for me if I understand this correct. So thank you for sharing your build roland Well I still have a few questions on the components and I hope some of the experts in here can clear me up. Case: Lian Li PC-Q25 Black Hot Swap Mini Tower Case I definitely want to use this Board: ASUS H87I-PLUS Motherboard Is there any reason for me to choose the H97I instead of the H87I? I'm thinking that maybe the M.2 Socket can be used for a cache drive such as the new Samsung SSD 950 Pro in the future. Do you think that M.2 will get relevant for unraid? Another question on the board: what kind of internally mounted usb 3.0 port adapter would you recommend? CPU: Intel Core i3 4130 I think that when I only want to make use of Intel VT-x this one is ok, right? RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM (2x4GB) DDR3 What's the reason to use 1600MHz for unraid? Because on other websites sometimes 1333MHz is recommended. And how important would be the use of ECC-RAM as these Ripjaws are non-ECC RAMS. I know that the ASUS-board does not support ECC-RAM, so maybe I should switch the board aswell? Another question I have is for how many HDD-Drives 8GB of DDR3 RAM in total would be enough? Is there a rule of thumb maybe? PSU: Silverstone ST45SF 450W SFX For the PSU I have the same question as for the RAM Is 450W enough even when I use a full setup of HDD drives and maybe SSD-Cache drives? Disk: 2x 4TB WD Red (1 data, 1 parity) I will get these aswell. Would you suggest using the SATA cables coming with the drives or should I order different cables? Cache: 120 GB Samsung SSD 840EVO I won't use a cache drive at first, but definitely sometime in the near future USB: Cruzer Fit (8GB) Is USB 3.0 a topic or is 2.0 enough? Is there maybe another USB-stick that would be a better choice in regard to wear leveling for example. I also want to use BeQuiet Silent Wings 2 PWM fans as I already own them as intace (140mm) and exhaust (120mm) fans. Is it save to use both fans with an y-adapter cable even if one is 140mm and the other one 120mm? Because the Asus-Board only has 2 4-pin connectors. I'm also thinking of getting the Noctua NH-L9i for cpu cooling. I hope someone can answer my questions and/or has additional tips for me. A wonderful week to all of you
