  1. Is the hardware required to use Vera? The advantage for HomeSeer is that I can use my UnRAID server since it stays on all the time anyways. Is there a software only version of Vera?
  2. I thought with Nvidia GPU you had to disable HyperV? Sent from my XT1563 using Tapatalk I disabled HyperV and still no change.
  3. Yes, it still thinks the driver of the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is up-to-date.
  4. I am trying out 6.2 Beta21, does this version still require 2 video cards if your CPU does not have a GPU? I have a Xeon E3-1200 v3 Processor. My video card is a NVIDIA Corporation GF119 [GeForce GT 610]. The Display adapter in my W10 VM shows up as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. I have Hyper-V set to Yes and my Graphics Card set to NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 (01:00.0).
  5. Dan, is your script supposed to run automatically every x days? How do you set this up?
  6. Any status on the plug-in? I'm interested in learning the process of making a plugin anyhow. Is there a noobs tutorial for this?
  7. It took me a second to realize I needed to use "command htop". Is there a list of other "commands" that are useful?
  8. I know the Dashboard tab provides a real-time CPU Utilization but, does not show which processes/services are responsible. Is there a Plug-in that will show this and the Memory Usage of a process/service.......something similar to what Windows Task Manager does for Windows?
  9. Dan, Hope you're out of the hospital by now and things went well. Feeling back in action yet? Cheers.
  10. Is it easy to turn this into a plugin so we don't have mess with the flash? Seems like any improvements that are made or features that added would be handled well through the update process with the plugins. Or, would setting up a plugin be too much effort?
  11. Why do the VMs have to be shut down to copy the vdisk1.img? What happens if you try to copy it without shutting it down......will it affect the VM startup when you try to restore with copied vdisk1.img?
  12. I don't quite understand why you would need to backup anything but the vdisk1.img file. It seems to me that the W10.iso file and the virtio-win.iso drivers file never change. Isn't the vdisk1.img the only file that holds any changed data like installed apps, W10 registry, etc.? Seems like recovery would be just as simple as replacing the corrupted vdisk1.img file with the backup copy from the day before. Or, am I missing something?
  13. Due to a recent snafu of a VM w/ W10, I have determined that I need to start performing daily backups of my vdisk1.img file to another drive. So, the question is....what are others doing? What script or services are people using?
  14. Is there a feature in UnRAID to run a daily script....perhaps to make a copy of my vdisk1.img to another share drive?
  15. Okay, so it seems that I have corrupted my original vdisk1.img. I was able to create another vdisk1.img but, obviously, W10 now wants to go through the install process again. Is there anyway to recover the original vdisk1.img? It appears that the NTFS file structure has been corrupted.
  16. Is there a reason to create 2nd vDisk in addition to the Primary vDisk?
  17. In looking at my vdisk1.img, it looks like it was moved from the SSD cache (btrfs format) to my user share (xfs format). Could that be the issue?
  18. In moving stuff around in the server closet, I accidentally shut off the server. Once I re-started the server and the parity check was completed, I tried to restart W10 VM. Now W10 seems to want to start Recovery mode. I have rebooted the server several times hoping it would remedy itself but, it has not. The initial error screen seems to indicate a NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM error. Is it not seeing one of the images (.img or .iso)? In looking at my vdisk1.img, it looks like it was moved from the SSD cache (btrfs format) to my user share (xfs format). Could that be the issue?
  19. I am running W10 VM and I have other USB assignments. I have the same model as the recommended change but, my current XML shows it as a index ='1'. What should I do to get this to work? <controller type='usb' index='0' model='ich9-ehci1'> <alias name='usb'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x02' function='0x0'/> </controller> <controller type='usb' index='0' model='ich9-uhci1'> <alias name='usb'/> <master startport='0'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x07' function='0x0' multifunction='on'/> </controller> <controller type='usb' index='1' model='nec-xhci'> <alias name='usb1'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x08' function='0x0'/> </controller>
  20. I guess I'm not. I tried one USB pass-through based off a previous post but, it did not go well and I could not re-start my W10VM after making an XML edit. I did a search on W10 VM iTunes and did not see a decent post so, I assumed W10 VM and Itunes was too new. Perhaps I should go back and read all the USB pass-through posts to get better acquainted with the subject and process.
  21. I have W10 VM with the latest version of iTunes installed and it doesn't seem to recognize any of my apple devices (ipad or iphone) when I connect them to the USB port of my UnRAID server.
  22. What happens to the applications and their files that are installed on a VM w10 when VM gets corrupt or has some other issue where it needs to be rebuilt? Is all that stored in vdisk1.img where you can get at the application files if you need to?
