That's good to know. So would I have to reconfigure zoneminder and all of the settings? Or if I just download the new zm template from CA it will pickup the existing settings from appdata?

Hi All, I'm having a problem getting into the webui of zoneminder, actually getting it working. It has been working great all along until unraid 6.6.6 update. I'm getting a site cannot be reached. Well I noticed that my unassigned devices were unmounted after the unraid update. So I mounted the disk thinking that would fix it. No luck with that. I still can't access it. Any idea what can be going on? I've attached my configuration.

Right now it’s in a usb2 port. It happened in both a usb3 and usb2 port. Could this be an issue with the motherboard? Or is it possible I have another lemon isb stick?

Hi All, I upgraded to 6.6.6 and started having problems. First, it did not come up on reboot. So I dirty shut down and powered on. It started rebuilding the array. Then it froze. I had to reboot, clean this time, and the name of my unraid box changed back to Tower. Somehow I figured that out and logged in. The array was fine. Until today. I get the following when looking at my main page. What is going on? I've had some issues where unraid failed in the past. I replaced the USB stick, and it seemed to have fixed the problem. I'd venture to guess that this couldn't be the case twice. Also it's not the same as before. It's starting fine and then doing this. What can I do? Mark

Well it's always good to resolve your own problems. When I installed pfSense, I changed my private IP scheme to 10.10 from 192.168 and one of the files in nextcloud was configured with the old IP. So now it's working. In case anyone is having difficulty with ssl connections on hosts/apps within unraid, I put the following info into dns resolver at the bottom for adding a host override. I'm connecting via SSL to unraid. host - long chain of characters before unraid.net in your address bar parent domain - unraid.net IP - unraid IP address

I installed pfSense as a vm on unraid, and it is generally working well. Since unriad is always on, the plan is to use this and get some cheap standalone box as a backup to pfSense. I'm having an issue with HTTPS sites. I have lets encrypt, nextcloud, and openvpn installed, which are the ssl related problems I am having. At first I had an issue connecting to unraid via ssl. I was able to solve that through this post. The rebind tag in the DNS forwarder was not working. So I added a domain override for unraid.net. In DNS resolver, I have added this custom text server: private-domain: "unraid.net" I'm not sure what that is supposed to be doing or if it's working. Regardless, the SSL issue with logging into unraid was resolved. Regarding nextcloud, it was working well with my isp router. I have lets encrypt as a reverse proxy for accessing nextcloud at nextcloud.mydomain.net. Also openvpn was working well. With pfSense, I cannot access the web gui for openvpn. I can access the openvpn server from outside my network, but no packets are being sent back and forth. I cannot access nextcloud on either my local network for from outside. Lets encrypt is not giving any issues in the log, so it appears the ports forwards are working correctly. What seems to be the problem is that communication is coming in but not going out. I can't find anything on Google on how to fix this issue. It seems like it is a setting that needs to be addressed. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi All, I successfully have offense running as a vm on unraid. I just need to get a cheap backup device. I’m having issues connecting to https with internal sites and through let’s encrypt. I other words, I can’t connect and no message to proceed with caution. I have nextcloud setup according to spaceinvader’s video. It’s running under my own domain and proxynet. With my old isp router, port forwarding worked, and I was able to connect. Now with offense, I cannot. I don’t get any errors within let’s encrypt’s logs. I can’t connect to my OpenVPN server either. I put in the rule for private domain equals unraid.net in DNS resolver. What could I be missing here? I’ll continue to search but found nothing yet.

Hi All, I'm trying to install this and am not able to boot into the vm. It won't connect via vnc and gives me a message saying login to server failed. I've tried OVMF and Seabios with no success on either. On OVMF, I've tried all the Q35 versions. I'm able to pass through my 4 port NIC. Everything was done exactly as in video part 3. What could be the issue? It's f'ng Safari that is the problem. Works with Chrome. Go figure.

Rebooting my computer got it to connect back to the drives. It's strange, but now it is working again. Yeah seems like it dropped the flash.

ok this is very strange. I just rebooted again, and it logged in. The dockers are running. But I can't connect to unraid shares from my mac. By the way, I'm running 6.6.3. What could have happened? When the dockers wouldn't start after moving the data, I couldn't connect to shares either.

So I added a pair of cache drives to my unraid as a cache pool. Appdata, system, and domains were set to prefer the cache. I stopped docker and invoked the mover. When I started docker, it would not start. So I decided to do a reboot. Now the system doesn't come up other than on a monitor. On the monitor, it used to say unraid login and would bootup. Now it just says Tower login. What the hell happened, and how do I fix this? It's as if it is not finding any of the information it needs to boot. Also the IP address on the monitor is not something that is on my network.

For some reason, the whitelist is not showing whitelisted sites. When I add them, I can see them in the whitelist.txt file. But the webui is not showing them. Any reason why?

FYI for others...I replaced the USB stick and the problem was resolved. I've had a lot of recent usb/sd failures.

Anyone have any insight? Now it froze during a parity check at about 36%. And now I cannot access it to powerdown.

I’m seriously having some issue. Unraid went down again. Same scenario I mentioned in my opening. Unraid is unresponsive . I’m connecting to my imac remotely and cannot enter web interface. I can ping but no junraid. Is my USB screwed? I get no errors on powerup. Where can I check diagnostics?

I guess I will cancel this request. It seem to reboot fine now. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Unraid has been working flawlessly until yesterday. I had to travel for work, and I usually connect to my iMac to get stuff done. I did that, and couldn't connect to my unread box. So when I go home, the hard drives were not spinning. But I was able to ping the NIC. So I hooked up a monitor, and it looked normal with the unpaid login prompt, unraid login. So I did that, and nothing happened. I had to do an unclean shutdown. Upon boot up, it ran a parity check and was working. I thought I would upgrade to the latest 6.5.3. After a reboot, the same thing happened more or less. I was not able to access unraid from a browser at unraid.local. So I connected the monitor again. This time the login said tower login. At least it didn't freeze this time, and I was able to issue a poweroff command. The system shutdown. I rebooted it, and it's running again. It seems I'm having some sort of reboot issue (I assume something happened while I was away to cause a reboot). How can I troubleshoot this to figure out what the issue is?

Hi All, I tried Zoneminder, but I cannot get it to email alarms for some reason. It does register them, but it's useless without actually getting them. So I thought I'd try Zeoma. I'm able to start the server and connect with the trial client license on my Mac. I get it configured for motion detection and to archive and send emails. The email test works. But Xeoma is not detecting motion. I've sent a message to them. Has anyone else had an issue with this? Mark

Safari was the problem. I finished the setup in Firefox. Who would have thought.

@spants I'm still having an issue with this setup when it comes to configuring single node. Once you put the parameters in and click configure node, it should give you a message that it successfully completed where it then creates the _users and other db's. Nothing is happening when I click on the green button "configure node." Is that an issue in the template?
