  3. Ok i found i had this issue with my vm as well, all sorts of cpus would ramp up with doing a disk speedtest. Im using a r7 2700x on the gigabyte gaming 5 board and everything else works perfect. I picked up one of those samsung nvme drives on sale at best buy to test and with the drive passed through to the vm and cloned the vm to it....i no longer have the issue. I passed the entire controller through as well, no block device passthough. I see no cpus going crazy or anything. beware 4k screenshot
  4. Been running mine for about 2 weeks now with no issues. Very stable. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. Go with the 2700x. Way less bugs out the box and a lot more horsepower. No need to mess with the c states or anything. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  6. I'm using a AMD system so I passthrough using a bios dump file. If you need a copy I can send it.
  7. I'm using this card right with no issues. It's connected to a 4k TV running at 60 hz and can even handle some hdr. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-6332-KR
  8. zfs set sharesmb=on "poolname" to share using samba. Your not going to be able to do much of anything in the GUI. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. First make sure it's there at /. Use terminal to make sure it's there. Set the mountpoint using zfs cmdline. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  10. Doesn't zfs place the pools at "/" when at they are mounted? /Tank, /rpool etc. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. Got my r7 2700x today and i can confirm its boost correctly. I've seen it get as high as 4.3 on one core and a 4.1 all core. This is on a Gigabyte gaming 5 ax370 board.
  12. Just got a 4k 40 inch samsung today. Got it running with my mac and windows VMs today. 4k 60 fps too using a GT 1030 passthru. Beware i tried some 4k 60 HDR video and that hit the VM hard but everything else is smooth. I give my VMs 8 vCpus and 8 GB of ram. I guess i may need a GTX 1050 Ti if i want to play with some 4K HDR. This is at 125% scaling

  14. Get a USB PCIe card and pass that thru to your VM. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. Try setting cache='none'/> for your vdisk. It helps with the stuttering as well.
  16. This is mine. Looks like the VboxHfs-64.efi and HFSPlus.efi maybe conflicting with each other.
  17. Take a look at this post. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/no-hdd-shown-in-boot-manager.253445/
  18. Yea APFS and HFSPLUS will not be on there you will have to add it in manually.

  21. yea you can use it from a real mac. You can google how to pull it from a real mac. Its a phrase and when you see it you will laugh. But i dont think it has any peformance diff with the FakeSMC just makes you OS even more vanilla.
  22. I use the official Plex docker but this is how mine is setup. I have my transcode path on a unassigned disk. I had it setup on RAM(/tmp/) but I found watching live TV would fill up my RAM. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
