Dears may I ask you for advice? I have NVMW disk 1TB which I want to run 2 VMs. I know how to passthrough full disk for usage in VM and I know how to passthrough full controller to VM. But my understanding is that those 2 methods, also preferred because there is no extra virtualization layer there, do not allow to run 2 VMs on that disk, am I right? If so, I wanted to create vdisk files on that NVME and run VMs in those files. But how to do that? What I see is on picture 1 - empty disk without format and partitions, where the only option is FORMAT. When I format as XFS, NVME changes its status to greyed UDEV label. I cannot mount or do anything else, see picture 2. When I try to create VM, I do not know what to select in primary vdisk location in order to be as vdisk file on that unassigned NVME disk. Dears, I am not sure what is wrong - I am trying to access remote folder from Krusader and answer is Cannot open remote folder. Remote folder is NFS and it is old synology NAS. Strange is that when I go to Unraid web GUI and click on mounted NFS share, it shows me all the files, folders etc. Can you please advice? V.

Dears, I created VM and created disk of 1TB in size, but when I check .img file, I see that it is small and it is enlarged as needed. I believe that for spped purposes it is better to assign full space to .img file since beginning. Am I right? And if so, how I can force unraid to create .img with full size since beginning? Dear friends I have been running unraid in 2 machines for some time with about 100 TB of space available, but both those machines were simply rebuildt expired, old, otherwise unusable servers from HP Proliant series. They are old, I am unable to insert NVIDIA decent card into it for conversion purposes and PLEX media server. Also they are back from before 2010, not good because of power consumption etc. So I decided to build nice and fresh machines as of 2023 and I would like to know your advice - would you be so kind to comment on my preliminary selection of components? 1. chasis - Fractal Design Define XL R2 Black Pearl - Link to my favorite local shop - it can really keep lot of disks 2. montherboard - GIGABYTE B650 GAMING X AX - Link to my favorite local shop - it has sound card however which I do not need 3. processor - AMD Ryzen 7 7700 - Link to my favorite local shop - TDP only 65W - 8 cores, 16 threads, however I do not need graphic card AMD Radeon Graphics which is in the processor - maybe useless to pay for this 4. memory - Kingston FURY 16GB DDR5 5600MHz CL36 Beast Black EXPO 2x - Link to my favorite local shop 5. cache - WD BLACK SN850 NVMe Heatsink pro PS5 2TB - Link to my favorite local shop Can you please comment and give me your suggestions?
