when you ask... how did i connect.. ive never connected.. how do i connect? to other servers? in game.. i never need to use the steam server browser.. yes i try and join with the port number.. also what question did you ask that I did not answer? please ask it again as im not sure what your referring to.

I havent been able to connect to the server at all !!!!! that is why I am here trying to figure out why I cant.. i can play on other servers just fine.. i use the in game server search and i can find my friends and other servers.. ect.. i cant find my server from within the game search feature or in the steam server browser.. I can enter in my servers ip.. nothing.. i can enter in my dynamic dns name.. nothing.. i can enter in my modems ip.. nothing.. I have the ports forwarded just like the other games I host that show up just fine.. honestly.. I wish I could team viewer with you and have you run through everything so that you can see there is something messed up with this.. you obviously dont believe me that i have not changed any settings.. and you are also telling me that it should work when its not.. I am getting a network error endlessly.. and its obviously an issue.. cause this game is not showing up anywhere.. yet it seems to be running in the background without network settings set up...

my appdata is set to yes.. I will change that to prefer and try installing without making any changes.. EDIT: One thing, please always use physical paths to the game files since most games won't work if you use /mnt/user/... (Don't Starve Together, TeamFortress2,...) but keep in mind if you use /mnt/cache/appdata/conanexiles your Use Cache setting is set to "Prefer" or "Only"): i was installing it under mnt user .. good to know for the future as i never knew this! so.. if i leave the install folder as is its on a cache drive... that does not work due to wine... if i move the game install folder to a non cache drive it wont work.. if i move the steam cmd folder and the game folder it wont work.. same folder or different folders.. tried both ways.. I have not and am not changing ANYTHING else.. its nice that yours works.. but that does not help me figure out why mine wont.. I am not turning my appdata cache off.... cant.. too many things use it.. but for the sake of making a point i might just turn everything off.. turn off the cache drive for appdata and run it.. just to see if i need to set up another unraid box to just host this bloody server...

so the ONLY change i have made was the installation directory so it installed into a share that is NOT on a cache drive.. https://pastebin.pl/view/ad2a3afb is the errors im getting... i changed the pre set installation folder from a cache share to a non cache share.. /mnt/user/No cachish/Conan/ for steam CMD /mnt/user/No cachish/Conan/ for server data

I only edited the game.ini and the serversettings.ini as there is where every website tells you to edit your server name and password.. as well as all the settings for admin password ect its also where you change your settings for all the multipliers for experience and life ect I only changed those settings after the thing would not load up.. I come here as a last resort.. i will delete everything and start over..

cant find it in the game.. in steams browser or on lan.. its not showing up.. is there anyone in here who has a conan server up and running? ive copied and pasted the game and server settings from a website.. maybe i missed something or maybe between the docker and the settings file something is doubled up and causing the issue?

380P and 380E are different cases.. the E comes with a bay in the rear for 2 more drives..

I have this same server.. 8 bays.. they make add in boxes or slots for another 8 bays.. or you can pull the face off and go with either 25 sff or 15 lff bays .. i think 15.. might just be 12.. Ive read that the controller is the limiting factor in drive size.. in one of my servers i have 8tb drives hooked into an h200 i think it is.. im not sure but in my 380p g8 i had to buy an aftermarket card.. Im in canada and my search for a lff face to my server turned up with it costing about 200.. i paid 650 for the server.. so im hesitant about the swap.. As far as sas or sata.. my sata drives fit in the slots.. sas drives are just faster from what i have read..

so after all the fighting with this thing.. I bought a card and still had issues.. i ended up ripping all the hard drives out of the machine and all of a sudden it worked.. added a drive at a time and found I had a drive that was faulty and it was causing the entire thing to crash.. who knew.. but my G8 DL380p boots with unraid on the 420i or my (i think its a h220) card soooooo much forehead meets keyboard bashing over something stupid.. I gotta say.. unraid has been a blessing and a curse lol.. its opened the doors to a whole new hobby thats frustrating as all hell...

can you look up what versions of firmware your running on every aspect of your machine? I am not joking when I say every aspect of my server is inconsistent and it seems like every time I reboot things change.. I am pulling my hair out and am considering just stuffing winblows on this thing till covid blows over and i can send my box off to get someone to fix it or tell me its now a paper weight

I honestly am questioning if my server has some hardware issues going on.. i have stripped everything out of it.. (almost everything the onboard fiber channel card is still in it) and it seems every 3 or 4 boots it lets me in to configure any cards.. I have gotten the thing to boot into the intelligent provisioning but half the time it locks up.. when I get into it I can see both controller cards (or one or the other depending on what i have in or disabled) and it will show both cards is HBA mode.. it shows the drives.. i can pop them in and out and it will show accordingly.. i have tried getting unraid to see the drives on both cards.. i have swapped cables.. I have swapped damn near everything on this machine.. now.. now it shows the onboard 420 card (its all i have plugged in) and i load the inteli prov and the damn card does not show up.. im going to disable it again and lob the 240 in.. my 240 card seems to want to spit an error code about some add on battery pack? i can find the error again shortly and post it.. but at this point i dont wana spend more money and buy another controller card if my servers mobo is toast or something.. and I live in a city with nothing but idiots at the computer shops.. nobody knows servers and i cant even find a company that works on them for large businesses.. its hell.. id pay to get this thing going.. and there is nobody to pay!

I dont think I will ever buy an HP server again.. im not paying a fee to get out dated drivers... and google has not left me with anything from searches.. I am honestly wondering if i will get my moneys worth of enjoyment out of smashing this thing with a hammer.....
