it's a built in adapter. you think that might still work?

also, did you upgrade to 0.0.9 for silicoin, and get f**ked out of your earnings as they're off testnet8 and on to testnet?

well this sucks. got the other nr12000 in today. looks like the LSI 2008 controller onboard, is DOA.

oh i'm a n00b still too. everything is down, while I clone FARM1's boot drive, as FARM2 arrived today. definitely going with the split/crossing setup for now. also looks like, I might do some TIMELORD work for a couple coins, if they provide some incentive.

https://pastebin.com/VxEqskKk still think that the plots aren't as random as they could be, and that the whole system goes in cycles.

yea i'm gonna have to go buy a bunch more ram for these boxes I guess. it's starting to exhibit the slowdown issues I saw earlier, from the memory getting overloaded. for kale: 82.62.243.118:6333 try connecting to that also, wheat refuses to connect for some reason. if you get it going, past a connection here, please. eta: I think wheat is a mess.

I was gonna try and upgrade the plotters, but at this point i'm not going to bother. the last 2 drives will be filled in 3 days max. After that they're getting shut down for good. the 2nd NR12000 comes on friday. so by monday, I'm purely in farming mode. 96TB, 864 plots. 13 sh!tcoins so far. I think I'm going to split them completely; no network sharing; each will have all sh!tcoins loaded, and running 432 plots each. I've seen some notes about it improving odds slightly, as it improves PPF response times. I'm not interested in the complexity of setting up harvesters for all these forks, so I'll just stick with totally separate installs. Also means if one box breaks, it only takes out half my plots until it's fixed.

I was cobbling stuff together early on for this project, so it was whatever I could reach at the time.

well on a good note, the SSD upgrade has made the machine SO much more responsive overall.

less work than rebuilding from scratch, at least in my case. all these customer VMs on this server... I need retardedly simple restore procedures, even for myself, as it'll be stressful enough if this thing smokes itself.

part that's killing me right now with his drive move, is USB 2.0 is all that's on this machine currently doing a restore to the target disk, connected to another box, so I can get 99% of the work done before moving it into the 'production' farm. I'll take a folder snapshot of all the .coin folders, then just restore that into place when I make the move.

testing backups is always a good idea.
