  1. Yes sorry the Linuxserver docker. The subtitles are named the same.
  2. Server Version#: 4.22.2 Hi I've changed over to Unraid Plex docker Linux but I can't get external subtitles to show by default no matter what I try. It was working on my W10.
  3. Hi if I want to use my existing .nfo files I need xbmcnfo bundle, and I wanted to install webtools but I can't get write access to the plugin folder. How do I fix that?
  4. Thanks for the answers. So what Uldise says is that he actually tested this and it works with Unraid and you Doron has mixed results? I would like to passthrough the SSD as RDM but not if it will cost no spindown and no smart. I would like to use the Samsung as a cache for dockers and for downloads but some says it will trash the SSD quickly with all the download writes and others don't. This Unraid is very nex to me so I want to get it right the first time.
  5. Yes, I've read that when you go this way on Esxi.
  6. Yes have already seen this. I'm more interested in what the general recommendation is for "disk include". Should it be leaved to Unraid to split it or would it be best to assign manually? Also if I go this route and set disk 1 and 2 for TV Shows and 3+4 for Movies would it still put files in Disk 2 and 4 when 1 and 3 is half full if I use High Water with Disk Include.
  7. Thanks have at some of them. In regards to allocation and split I know that but it doesn't state what recommendation is for include disk/all
  8. Thanks again. 2. So I create a download share on cache drive where my subfolders are temp and Movies & Shows. In Sab I set category as movies or shows. It places the finished DL in one of those folders and sonarr/radarr picks it up? Also wouldn't all these DL writes to Samsung 860 EVO drain/kill the drive quickly? 3. If I select include 2 Drives will Unraid fill half the drive first and automatically switch over to drive 2 if I select high water and split level 1?
  9. Hi I'm completely new to Unraid. When I have shares like: TV shows/show/season Movies/movie I'm thinking of using level 1 split to have movies and show on the same disks. Would it make sense to use include disk 1 for movies and disk 2 for shows or should I leave it to Unraid. Have used some hours to go through it but I still see different options so what would be the best in my situation?
  10. Hi which solution did you end up with on 3? I'm considering what the beft approach is with Sab and DL folder. Should all DL take place on cache SSD or use a normal HDD?
  11. Thanks for an elaborating answer:) 2. If I just want the cache drive to be a temp drive for DL and move the completed DL after finishing, can't I get it to to that with Sab and run a script there for instance with filebot? 2a./3 if I use the cache drive with for Plex docker will my disks then spin up when browsing or only the cache drive? If it's only the cache drive then it shouldn't matter with the drive included option.
  12. Thanks for the help and the SSDs are Samsung EVO 860.
  13. Hi I have some questions. I bought an Unraid license and want to set it up. I have 3 x 8 TB + 1 x 6 TB + a IBM 1015 controller card. 1 for parity and the other for array. Questions are: 1. I have created a rootshare and have just created a share called TV Shows and a Share called Movies. Since I don't have a media share, should I then choose "Automatically only split the top two" for TV Shows or should it be top three? For Movies should it be Top one or Top 2. I have Movies/Moviename/Files TV Shows/Showname/Season/Files 2. When I add an cache drive to Downloads will it then be moving the files quickly when I use rootshare to the array? 3. Should I use the include disk option to separate Movies and TV Shows or just leave it to all? If I leave it to all will Unraid then automatically balance the drive and can the same be achieved with using the include disk options to balance the only included disks?
  14. Which commands did you use for that, since the thread you are linking to is a little unclear? I've been using commands like this, but that gave me the read/write protection in Windows 10: vmkfstools -z /vmfs/devices/disks/t10.ATA_____SAMSUNG_HD204UI_________________________S2H7J9GB908877______ "/vmfs/volumes/ESXiServer/Windows 10/Samsung_HD204UI_2TB_1.vmdk" But you don't get any SMART info/spindown on this approach right? And also not a good idea to use the Esxi SSD? Thanks for the help.
  15. Hi I have a question. I've created a Esxi environment with 1 x 1 TB SSD for Esxi Vm's. Besides that I have 3 x 8 TB + 1 x 6 TB + a IBM 1015 controller card. I have just bought Unraid and want to make the most of it, so I have assigned the IBM1015 card to Unraid + the 4 drives. I want to add a cache drive also. So my question is: 1. Should I take lets say 500 gb from the ESXi SSD to put in the cache drive in Unraid. 2. Should I buy a new 1 TB SSD to cache drive? 2a. If I buy the new drive. Should I pass it through on the IBM1015 card or would i be just as good to mount it to a SATA port on the motherboard and do the vmtools mount in Esxi? The reason is that I only have 8 ports on the IBM1015 controller, so for future expansion I would like to save it. I had done the vmtools for a drive in Windows 10 VM, but on some files it became write protected, and when I took the drive out and mounted as USB the problem dissapeared, so is a little uncertain about it. The cache drive should be used for dockers, Plex and DL.
  16. Found it now. Should I also flash the bios ROM or is it better without it?
  17. Yes but nothing in the firmware mentioned before. 20.xx
  18. If I search the first page I can't find that firmware if I search for it. Where do I find it.
  19. Thanks. Should I upgrade it? I need to do it in uefi mode so should I remove the controller before or is it only crossflashing? I would like to update it easy.
  20. Thanks for the answer. I made a picture of it and I think it's It mode, correct? My question is also should I upgrade the firmware to a newer if there's something better before I start with Unraid or is it okay? If so which one should I use? Thanks for the help.
  21. Hi I just purchased a IBM 1015 card and got the PAL issue. So tried the uefi method with same commands but didn't work, so I took and flashed the rom file first and bin file and now the card is recognized. But how do I check it is now converted correct and is in IT mode? Thanks for the great info on this forum.
