Disk Problem

Problem 1

Downloaded something
The file is in Cache right now, but it won't extract to disk
Sab shows
ERROR: write error
Unpacking failed, write error or disk is full?

Somewhere during extraction - Last I checked it was around 30gb extracted to drive

It's not a Sab or Cache problem

294 GB Free on Drive
Min Free Space is set to 100GB - 8tb hd
File is 120GB

Problem 2
Disk Structure
Disk 3
Folder - 4k Movies
Folder - Random Movie

For some reason, I cannot drag and drop the movie in random movie folder into the main folder?
All I can see is the drive is reading.... reading.. I see it start transferring "in windows 10"
Then when it finishes.. no new file, movie still in folder

No Smart Errors

btrfs filesystem df:

Data, single: total=7.26TiB, used=6.99TiB
System, DUP: total=8.00MiB, used=880.00KiB
Metadata, DUP: total=8.00GiB, used=7.39GiB
GlobalReserve, single: total=512.00MiB, used=0.00B

Issues are on the same Disc..

It does seem like it has a lot of balancing to do. And you do have some array disks that are pretty full. Also note that if you are overwriting a file that is already on the array it will go directly to that array disk and not to cache.

Problem 1

Which user shares are involved?

Ditto. You don't seem to have a share named Movies.

Sorry! - Corrections
It's called 4k Movies
All drives set to fill up

Problem 1

Cache to 4k Movies "Disk 3"

Problem 2

4k Movies
Disk 3 to Disk 3
I'm not trying to copy or overwrite

I'm just trying to move it within the same Disk

As for almost full, I have an empty 10tb "disk 4", which I will add to 4k movies
But I don't want to leave 300gb wasted

I assume you mean all shares set to fillup.

4k Movies is set to cache-no but it has files on cache. Mover ignores cache-no and cache-only shares. To get files moved from cache to array the share must be cache-yes.

Yes, I was downloading some big files "so my cache wasn't able to keep up" so I disabled it for the time being to write directly to disc " I see nothing in my 4k Movies Folder on the Cache drive"

What needs to transfer over though hasn't been extracted yet, so it won't make difference
here is what's happening
Sabnzbd
Movie Failed - Write Error etc.. etc..

Files are currently on the cache drive, "incomplete" as they haven't extracted yet <- which is how I set it up
When I hit retry - Sabnzbd starts unpacking <- which starts writing to Disc 3 "4k Movies"
I can see in Sabnzbd 20/2XX unpacked
If I go to my Disc 3, I can see the movie size growing....500mbs, 1gb, 1,3gb etc..

Until it just stops somewhere and goes back to Write Error

Just for interest what do you think of a suggestion that I made elsewhere that instead of referring to ‘cache’ we (and the GUI) should start referring to Pools?  The introduction of multiple pools in 6.9.0 would be a good time to consider this if it is thought to be a good idea.

Mixed
I think it's a good idea, but on the other hand.. I feel like Unraid is "parity, disk+cache"

You mean the folder exists on cache but is empty?

Correct, when I look directly in my Cache Drive it shows a folder 4K Movies That's Empty
The file that's trying to move over is in my appdata/sabnzbd/incomplete

Did this ever complete?

I'm at work, not sure....
It was going super slow, it's an SMR drive, that is almost full, each file is on average 40-50gb
So speeds are all over the place
