I had errors on the parity. I did a SMART test and everything is ok.

In the New config - Preserve current assignments, which one should I choose ?

None

All

Parity disk

Data slots

Cache slots

Thank,

It is up to you - you just need to make sure that before starting the array the disks are assigned as you want them.

in most cases it is easier to select the All option and make changes from that starting position.

Disk7 remove fro array :

Parity disk remplaced  :

Parity disk rebuilded  :

Now, for the disk1 with errors, Is it better to add a new disc, copy the contents and redo a new configuration?by replacing disk1 with the new one?

With this method, could I identify corrupt files?

Or do I remove disk1, replace it with the new one, and let the system rebuild it?

Thank,

Yes, there were errors, so parity isn't 100% valid, best bet to recover the most amount of data and to be able to identity the corrupt files is to use ddrescue like I mentioned earlier.

What is the best command to run ?

ddrescue --force... ??
