March 4, 20215 yr I'm missing something here. I am trying to set up different disk temperature warning thresholds for my SSD cache drives. I have set default settings for the other disks in the "Disk Settings" under the Settings tab but every time I try to set a new value for the SSD drives in the Cache Settings on the Main tab, the default settings override what I type. How do I set a different value for the SSD cache drives? Note: the same thing happens when I try to set a different value for the disk temperature warning threshold for the unassigned devices Edited March 14, 20215 yr by Paul S. March 4, 20215 yr Community Expert What browser are you using? There have been some reports that suggest using a different browser can work.
March 4, 20215 yr Author I'm using chrome. I tried Microsoft Edge with the same results, but that's just chrome anyways. BTW, I'm running version 6.9.0 of unRAID (trial license)
March 7, 20215 yr I am also having this problem. I have a couple of NVME SSD's in a cache pool and cannot change temp thresholds. Have tested with Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Delete Pool also doesn't work. Running 6.9.0 Unraid OS Pro Edited March 7, 20215 yr by Nathan Burns
March 8, 20215 yr @Paul S. I've figured out a work around, if you change your 'Settings' > 'Display Settings' > 'Temperature Unit' from F to C, you can then change the disk settings.
March 8, 20215 yr Author My setting was already set to Celsius. I tried switching it to Fahrenheit and back to Celsius with no effect

March 8, 20215 yr Author OK, I found a solution to the problem. First set the default disk temperature warning values to what you want it to be for SSD drives (I use 70C and 90C). Next go to each individual non-SSD drive from the main menu and override the default temperature setting to a value suitable for a HDD drive (I use 48C and 55C). In this manner, the SSD drives have the default value for disk temperature warnings while the HDD drives have a different, custom value. Maybe you are not allowed to override the default value with a higher value Should this issue be marked resolved? I can't find how to do that

March 12, 20215 yr I would not call that a resolution, more a workaround. The values are retained in the smart-one.cfg file, and in the top 3 browsers; chrome, firefox, and edge. Seems like the new file isn't being read. Any idea how to get this issue into limetech bug queue? I've found half a dozen different threads across several forums all reporting the same thing.

It'd be nice if there was a bug thread somewhere we could follow to know when this is resolved.
June 28, 20215 yr I am also seeing this bug. I can change the global temp for warning under Settings > Disk Settings. I cannot click the drive link and set the warning temp for any individual drive. The field displays the global value and does not allow editing.

July 6, 20214 yr Community Expert Also make sure you have whitelisted your server if you have any adblockers. Maybe that was the problem and not the specific browser.
October 16, 20214 yr Community Expert I have the same problem.. any ideas? Tried Edge and Chrome - no dice
October 16, 20214 yr Try deleting /config/plugins/dynamix/smartONE.cfg and smartALL.cfg on the flash drive and then set it all back up again.

It keeps resetting back to 45/55 C on the default setting page as well.
May 22, 20233 yr 2023 - Using unraid 6.11.5 - and this problem still persists in Chrome. I switched to EDGE and it allowed me to edit my pesky NVME that likes to hang out at 46C even with a small fan pointed on it.
October 27, 20232 yr I am having the same issue, but it's not allowing me to change the temps in any browser I try.
