csmccarron
Sometimes when I reboot my server it comes up in a video resolution not supported by the monitor. I have two questions. 1. Is there a way to fix the video resolution so it always starts up using the same resolution? 2. Once the server is started how do you change the resolution of the screen without rebooting the server? Thanks in advance. Edited August 23, 2021 by csmccarron Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Not sure there is a way to do either of the things you asked about Would like to be proved wrong Quote Link to comment
Squid
Legacy boot *should* give a stock resolution of 800x600 IIRC. UEFI boot will tend to use the highest resolution your monitor says it supports. Quote Link to comment
csmccarron
So there is no way to force it to use a specific resolution everytime it boots? Quote Link to comment
csmccarron
The monitor that was attached only supported 1366 x 768@60 Hz and unRaid booted to a resolution greater than 1920x1080. Is there anyway to fix the resolution so it always starts at 1920x1080? last_boot.log Quote Link to comment
