thunderclap
I have two SSD drives, both 240GB. I thought I configured it right so I would have a total of 480GB for cache but as you can see from my screen capture it's showing as only 240GB. Is my understanding of cache pools incorrect, or have I configured something wrong? Any help is appreciated. Edited December 1, 2021 by thunderclap Quote Link to comment
Squid
The default setting for a cache pool is RAID-1 which means the pool is redundant. You want to set the pool to be RAID-0 https://forums.unraid.net/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/?tab=comments#comment-480421 1 Quote Link to comment
thunderclap
So I converted it to RAID-0 under the Balance option and now the majority of my dockers won't start up and I'm getting the error "Unable to write to cacheDrive mounted read-only or completely full." under Fix Common Problems. What did I bork? Edited November 30, 2021 by thunderclap Quote Link to comment
trurl
attach diagnostics to your NEXT post in this thread Quote Link to comment
Squid
Still post the diagnostics, but did you wait for the balance to complete? (Last time I did this was on a fresh cache-pool with basically no data on it) On 7/18/2016 at 4:46 AM, JorgeB said: When changing pool mode confirm that when the balance is done data is all in the new selected mode, check "btrfs filesystem df"on the cache page, this is how a RAID10 pool should look like: Quote Link to comment
thunderclap
I just saw these responses after researching. I don't think the balance was done when I switched it to RAID-0, so that probably corrupted the drive. After backing up the cache drive I'm now pre-clearing them and will set them up again. That should do the trick. Quote Link to comment

But I'll remember not to do it on SSD in the future. Quote Link to comment
