EmilioValentino
Hi all, So one of my M.2 NVME cache drives failed, and my server is now running on only one cache SSD. I ordered 2x NVME 1TB drives that are arriving tomorrow, but I want to figure out the steps I have to take to keep everything running. I want to replace both cache drives with the new ordered ones. This is my game plan for now: - Replace the failed and broken cache drive - Copy the contents from the working drive to the new bought drive - Replace the old cache SSD that is working and include it in the cache pool Can anyone help me with a guide on how to acomplish this? Tom3
The storage management section of the manual details how to handle cache replacement. Recommended reading. https://wiki.unraid.net/Manual/Storage_Management#Why_use_a_Pool.3F -- Tom Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Note that direct pool device replacement is broken in v6.9.x+, you can still do manually or using other methods. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
This, or manually using the CLI, best solution also depends of the current pool status. 1 Quote Link to comment

So my second cache drive failed too, luckily I made a backup 10 minutes before using CA Backup / Restore Appdata. Now I want to restore, but when I do so, after the restore process I don't see my Docker containers.... Am I missing something? Quote Link to comment

EmilioValentino
I don't understand this part, I delete the Docker image and then what? I see that my Docker image is in /mnt/user/system/docker in file explorer, and in the Docker settings this is still the location: Quote Link to comment

itimpi
Have you then gone into Apps->Previous Apps and ticked off the containers you want re-installed into the new docker.img file? Quote Link to comment

That was the last step in the instructions that @Squid provided When you do that step then Unraid will install the binaries for all the apps you tick off with their previous settings intact.
