Help! Cannot get into web interface!

So I haven't turned on my server for a few weeks to save some energy, but needed to use server for some backups.  When turning on, system boots up fine and I can login on system itself, however, I cannot access the web interface from server, or via IP address or server name from system or other computers on same network.  It just gives me an "unable to connect" or refused to connect error page.  Telnet/SSH still works, but idk how else to access the web interface to start the array so I can access the files on my server.

BTW - I have booted normally, and in safe mode with no plugins, and both cannot access web interface while using the gui on system itself.  please help, need to access some files today!

It might be worth trying to connect via IP address in case there is any sort of name resolution issue.

You are likely to get better informed feedback if you post your system’s diagnostics zip file rather than just the syslog.

Yes, I've tried IP, and name, 127.0.0.1, and localhost all which are not able to connect/refuse to connect.  Since firefox is loaded, I am able to browse other regular websites like yahoo.com and such.

here are the system diagnostics

I've also renamed all the plugin plg files in config folder to make sure any plugins were causing issues.

Do you live in China?  Assuming you don't (and if you did I'd recommend the same thing)

Don't forward the management ports or put your server into your router's DMZ.  It's only a matter of time before someone actually gets in

Jun 22 10:52:08 Gardenhill sshd[14268]: Disconnecting authenticating user root 218.92.0.187 port 51316: Too many authentication failures [preauth]
Jun 22 10:52:11 Gardenhill sshd[14483]: Failed password for root from 218.92.0.187 port 55662 ssh2

Can you access the system from a different computer?

Can you try this: https://wiki.unraid.net/My_Servers#How_to_access_your_server_when_DNS_is_down

I definitely do not port forward any management ports other than plex to the server, so don't know how they are getting in?  Seems like they are trying to gain access via SSH, but that was a while ago.

And no, I cannot access the system from another computer, or on the actual unraid server.  This was working a few weeks ago, and I only shut it down 😭

I just tried to create a new USB with copied config folder to the new usb drive.  Same symptoms.

Nice catch.  Obviously I don't read filenames...

This is in your syslog (which is presumably current ;) )

Apr 13 10:30:08 Gardenhill root: nginx: [emerg] PEM_read_bio_X509("/etc/ssl/certs/unraid_bundle.pem") failed (SSL: error:0908F070:PEM routines:get_header_and_data:short header)

Try deleting the contents of /config/ssl and /config/ssh on the flash drive and reboot.  Any change

Try deleting /config/ssl and /config/ssh reboot if still no go, then post a new set

whoa! that did the trick! I can see the web interface now!  BUT I have another issue, the array seems to be looking for older hard drives, which I have since replaced.  Is there any way I can see the array config from only a couple of weeks ago?  Which file would that be under.  I just want to makes sure I am using the correct drives for slots that I was using before when it was working so I don't lose any files.

Do you have a flash backup that recent? You must always keep a current backup of flash. Any setting you make in the webUI is stored on flash, so any setting made after the last flash backup is lost if you need to restore.

You can always download a current backup of flash from Main - Boot Device - Flash - Flash Backup. Or the flash backup feature of My Servers will keep one automatically on Unraid cloud.

Do you have a screenshot, syslog, or diagnostics from your current configuration?

Here is all we have from that syslog you posted earlier. Obviously it was missing some drives at the time, disk0 is parity (missing) and disk29 is parity2.

Do a New Config (Tools) and assign the drives accordingly.  If anything comes up as unmountable stop whatever your doing and post diagnostics

Don't assign any disk to any parity slot. The unmountable disks will be parity disks, since they have no filesystem to mount. That is, assuming you don't have any data disks that are actually unmountable.

yea, that's what I am asking if syslogs or diagnostics have any info on which disk is to which slot. I just to make sure i get drives right before starting the array.  here is a later diagnostics from my original usb drive that was after the old backup I loaded =(

I also have a screenshot of my array with hdd serial's that I can dm if it makes it easier to search
