Featured Replies

Hi, i just change my motherboard+ram+cpu from my windows machine

problem that i have is that my server freezes and i don't know why

i am not able to find any logs

MOtherBoard:  MSI B350 PC MATE

RAM : 16GB

any solution much appreciated

Probably be a good idea to check your ram with mem test 86

as a first step

Not having an issue with windows is not a good indicator of your Ram not having any errors. Windows runs off of a drive but in Unraid it offloads the OS from flash to ram and then runs solely off of RAM. It only takes 1 bit on your Ram to be wrong to start having issues. Personally the only other thing I have experienced other than a bad ram vector In misconfigured network settings, whither it be Unraid's network settings, your router, or docker container.

i will if this will happen again @itimpi, i have enabled logs to be on cache and i will post if happens again

Have you already gone through the AMD checklist of things to look for like idle settings and disabling XMP?

here are the logs, server gone down again

unraid logs.txt

Nothing relevant that I can see, this you check the link above?

@JorgeB just made a bios update and set the Power Supply Idle Control to  typical current idle, now i will wait and see and XMP was disabled

can be something from PSU ? meaning that is not enough W ?

Edited by Danuel

a update regarding my server after updated to 6.12.0

server froze after 3-4 day of running

here are logs

syslog-10.10.10.6.log

Unfortunately there's nothing relevant logged, assuming you already did the Ryzen tweaks this usually points to a hardware issue, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.
