URGENT - lost all my share folders !

Featured Replies

Yesterday I tried to fix the "famous Files not secured" yellow icon, I changed the settings of my shared folder to cache ON (I know now it was a mistake).

This morning the cache was full (of course), I used Mover to clear the cache drive ... But this deleted all my shared folders, now mover still running (already for 2h), cannot stop it, or stop the array.

What I should do ?

You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread.

Diagnostic is running now for 30 minutes, waiting to be done before posting

That suggests it will not finish - it normally takes just a few minutes

Mover just stopped, I now have the option to stop the array, should I do it ?

What's the output of df -h in terminal?

Seems your rootfs got filled by something and there isn't any space for the diagnostics generation.

My questions still without answers:

- Should I stopped the Array before loosing something else ?

- Is it possible to restore the shared folders I lost ?

- Cache drive still 100% full, may be the reason diagnostic take so long ?

Do UNRAID making backup somewhere that I can use to restore my Shared Folders ?

A reboot will likely bring everything back to normal.

  • Author

it will not be worst ... dosn't it ?

Do you think a reboot will restore the shared folders ?

Depends on why they are missing. Reboot won't make anything worse.

Then post diagnostics

UNRAID rebooted, Shared Folders are back, but the cache still full.

But I cannot run Mover, when clicked, the page jump up, nothing else.

found it, I disabled cache to some Shared folder ... enabling ... move ...

disabled cache to some Shared

That won't be enough to get files moved from cache.

I am back !

little recap:

- still cannot have the Diagnostic file

- Shared folders are back

- Cache drive is full

- Mover not moving anything

The ONLY question:

How I move/delete/make space in my Cache drive without potentially lost any files ?

for any share where you want files to be moved from cache to array you need to have the Use Cache=Yes setting.

I am using Unbalance now, seems to move files from cache.

moving is done, but still cannot post the Diagnostic, taking to much time to make it.

Can I do something for speed up the Diagnostic to make ?

What do you get from command line with this?

ls -lah /mnt/user
