Ich plane aktuell folgende Zusammenstellung. Wofür soll das System sein? Ich habe hier drei ältere Sysnology Diskstations, diverse größere externe HDDs und ein Intel NUC (4GB/250GB) mit Ubuntu+Docker, bei dem sich einige Container angesammelt haben (iobroker, pihole, unifi-controller, grafana, influxDB,...). Das soll gerne auf aktuellere, performantere Hardware konsolidiert werden und hoffentlich in Summe nachher auch noch weniger Strom ziehen. Neben den Docker-Containern soll das System also primär Netzwerkfreigaben für meine PCs bereitstellen (SMB/AFP/NFS). Ich nutze kein plex/jellyfin sondern ich mounte Medien-Freigabe auf meinem madVR-HTPC oder über infuse. Die beiden M.2 SSDs sollen den gespiegelten Cache bilden, als Array kommen bis zu 6 größere HDDs rein. Feuer frei! Quote Link to comment

Wahrscheinlich werde ich ein 4-bay Synology für Backupzwecke einmal die Woche oder so starten lassen, um die unraid-Daten zu sichern. Geht das "nur" per rsync-Skript oder gibt es hier auch fancy GUI Sachen? Quote Link to comment

_alo_ Posted October 5, 2023 Author Share Posted October 5, 2023 Bis auf die Lüfter (wollte erstmal die mitgelieferten Gehäuselüfter testen) hab ich alles a, 21.9. bestellt. Das Board kam dann aufgrund von Feier/Brückentag "erst" gestern am 4.10. an, immerhin 1-2 Wochen früher als angesagt 😉 Hab das ganze jetzt zusammengebaut (plus eine HDD) und teste gerade etwas mit unraid rum. Mein FritzDect200 misst das ganze mit ca 23W und, wenn die HDD in standby geht, erwartungsgemäß dann mit ca. 18W. Gibt es irgendwo ein Howto/Video was gezielt auf optimale Stromspareinstellungen in unraid eingeht? oder hat jemand schon entsprechende Erfahrungen mit dem Board? Quote Link to comment

_alo_ Posted October 5, 2023 Author Share Posted October 5, 2023 ja danke, da geht es aber schon los: ich wollte powertop installieren und hatte mehrfach die Anleitung gefunden: mkdir /boot/extra cd /boot/extra wget https://github.com/mgutt/unraid-packages/raw/main/6.11.0/powertop-2.15-x86_64-1.txz nach einem reboot soll das tool installiert sein. Ich habe das aktuelle 6.12.4 drauf. Nach dem Reboot ist der Ordner wieder leer, aber das tool nicht installliert (command not found) 🤔 Quote Link to comment

Der HDMI Ausgang schaltet sich übrigens auch nie ab, aber ein abziehen des Kabels hat nochmal etwas gebracht, liege jetzt so bei 16,5W mit Platte im Standby (spindown). Ja der JMB unterstützt keinen Standby. Du musst die Kommandos einzeln ausführen und die bei den SATA bezogenen Kommandos nur bei den Onboard "hostX" SATA Buchsen das Kommando ausführen. Ich denke schon. Am besten: Testen Aber, In deinem Bild ist bei allen Devices, auch dem Netzwerk Chip ASPM disabled. Bist Du sicher im Bios ASPM aktiviert zu haben? _alo_ Posted October 13, 2023 Author Share Posted October 13, 2023 Hi, ich habe in den letzten Tagen einiges mit den Einstellungen rumgespielt, zum einen im Bios und parallel in Powertop mit den tuneables. weiter runter als 14,3W komme ich aber nicht. hier mal Screenshots aus dem Bios und meinen Änderungen: C-States enabled und Limit auf C10 gesetzt ASPM enabled und auf L1 gesetzt bei (L0sL1 bootete die Kiste nichtmal richtig): in dem einzelnen PCIe Root Ports habe ich dann ASPM auch jeweils auf L1 gesetzt: da ich noch nicht herausgefunden habe, welches Gerät an welchem Port sitzt und ggf. nicht auf L1 gesetzt werden darf (beim setzen der tuneables stürzte die Kiste oft wieder ab), hab ich das BIOS mittlerweile resettet und es in den root-Ports auf auto gelassen: 15,3 W (HDD SpinDown, Monitor abgezogen, Web-If ausgeloggt) Das Bios gibt einem aber auch enorm viele Einstellmöglichkeiten und die Hilfe dazu auf der rechten Seite ist mau und ein Handbuch habe ich zu diesem Chinaboard auch noch nicht gefunden....
