exploratory-ley8936
Alright, everything worked fine until I installed a SAS controller from art of the server ebay "Genuine LSI 6Gbps SAS HBA LSI 9211-8i (=9201-8i) P20 IT Mode ZFS FreeNAS unRAID" after installing the controller Plex will crash, minutes or hours later. I have a 1050 set up for transcodes, I don't think i'm running out of ram but i dunno. The thing is, I barely know what I'm doing. Thanks tower-diagnostics-20230905-0029.zip Quote Link to comment
Squid
Can you repost your diagnostics after you start the array. And also ideally after plex crashes. Quote Link to comment
exploratory-ley8936
sure, i'll try it tonight, only problem is sometimes I can't even log in on the machine it's so bad. Quote Link to comment

exploratory-ley8936
I wasn't able to log in after the crash, it gave me an error and I had to restart it, i'm attaching a diagnostic i got after the initial reboot. I was also unable to login on the actual machine or remotely before restarting. tower-diagnostics-20230918-2224.zip Edited September 19, 2023 by exploratory-ley8936 Quote Link to comment

exploratory-ley8936
Just had a crash and recovered this syslog syslog Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Samba crashed multiple times in the last minutes of the syslog, if you have any custom Samba settings or remote mounts try removing that. Quote Link to comment
exploratory-ley8936
Let's pretend i'm an ignoramus don't know what you're talking about Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Do you have any custom Samba settings on Settings -> SMB -> SMB extras? Are you mounting any remote SMB shares with the UD plugin? Quote Link to comment
exploratory-ley8936
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. I have a share mapped as a network drive for file transfers over my network to my server. Is that bridge what's killing it? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Try without it to see if the Samba crashes stop. Quote Link to comment
exploratory-ley8936
Interesting I wonder what changed, because it never used to be a problem, I was always connected with my wdinows machine, it's only after expanding storage with the sas controller that this issue manifested. The server is stable while connected to the share so long as i don't run Plex, its only when plex starts that i run into problems. Quote Link to comment
exploratory-ley8936
I give up, i'll run plex from something else Quote Link to comment
