Tem
Currently for some unknown reason the unraid kernel does not support running Denuvo games. Tested using the Steam-Headless docker on unraid vs any other linux host. On unraid none of the games implementing Denuvo anti-cheat will launch, but using the same docker on other host os(s) have no issue launching aformentioned games. Josh.5
Did you mention the other day that you installed a custom kernel on Unraid and your Denuvo games started working? If so, this tells me that something is missing from the Unraid kernel. Just to be clear, this is not an issue with the Steam Headless Docker image. Quote Link to comment
Tem
That is correct, issue also exists with the ilnuxserver steamos image and games on whales via docker compose. I just used steam-headless as an example, but i've tested it with various containers on unRAID. All of them have the exact same problem of running denuvo games using the default unraid kernel; custom kernels do not have this issue nor running the same containers on an ubuntu host with any of the available repo kernels (-prime, -lts, -rt). dopeytree
So you'd need to compare the kernel with the steamdeck OS image kernel here: https://store.steampowered.com/steamos/download/?ver=steamdeck&snr Quote Link to comment
ssjucrono
What kernel did you install @Tem? Is it difficult or worth the trade offs? I don't want to break my unraid server Quote Link to comment
