rlw
DANKE SCHÖN Quote Link to comment
dlandon
Post diagnostics and a screen shot of the UD page. Your photos are very hard to read. Quote Link to comment

USB... Vermutlich haben die KEINE unikale Seriennummer. UNRAID erkennt Disks aber an ihrer Seriennummer. Folge: UNRAID sieht zweimal das vermeintlich selbe Gerät und springt daher fröhlich hin und her Quote Link to comment
rlw
@dlandon will do tomorrow morning first thing, sorry, was a bit desorganized today @jj1987 1. yes, proven. Mhmmm, they have a very similar but different serial. I would like to have both drives. I will check again and come back tomorrow thx both Quote Link to comment

dlandon
It's going to be hard to help you without diagnostics and a screen shot. The drives have to have unique disk IDs in order for UD to see them as separate disks. How are they connected to your server? Quote Link to comment

49 minutes ago, rlw said: 2. separate and separate cables, so 2 independent drives.
@dlandonLinux is seeing the devices (/dev/sda and /dev/sdb) - I was in the bios, all disks there, all USB entries enabled. See screenshot and "fdisk -l" below And interestingly enough, even UNRAID recognizes the two USB as TWO USB Drives (sda and sdb). If there was an issue with recognition (and they have differen UUIDs and PartUUIDs) they would not appear under SCSI devices under Tools / Systemdevices. root@Tower:~# fdisk -l Disk /dev/loop0: 60.29 MiB, 63217664 bytes, 123472 sectors Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk /dev/loop1: 333.06 MiB, 349237248 bytes, 682104 sectors Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes The backup GPT table is corrupt, but the primary appears OK, so that will be used. dlandon
There is an issue with the screen shot you posted and the device listing: You show sda as a 32TB SSD, but the screen shot shows it as your flash. You show sdb as a 32TB SSD, but the screen shot shows it as a 256G disk. This makes it hard to figure out what is going on. 5 minutes ago, rlw said: Only one of them (sda), sdb is missing still. The disk serial (ID) does not make sense and the other disk is probably showing the same ID and therefore wouldn't be recognized. Do the following: Post another diagnostics in the current state so I can see what udev is finding about the drives. Remove the USB disks and reboot. Install the USB disks and see if they are properly recognized by UD. Quote Link to comment

My point was the screen shot doesn't match that. I suspect you did the screen shot at a different time. 13 minutes ago, rlw said: Shall I still do the three steps (later)? I need you to do that so I can see what udev is reporting for the drives. After you have rebooted and installed the USB disks, give the ouptut of the following command: ls -la /dev/disk/by-id/ This is where Unraid gets the disk information. 13 minutes ago, rlw said: I may try OMV just to see if it is an unraid issue (what I believe) or not The issue appears to be what serial numbers are reported for the disks. Unraid (and UD) expect each disk to have a unique serial and one that makes sense. Serial number SDK_SSD-0:0 is a nonsensical serial number. So here is what we know: Linux sees the disks. The serial numbers for the disk(s) don't make sense. Quote Link to comment
rlw
@dlandon 1. They have different serials, see fdisk before, no matter what the undeveloped unraid (sorry, but SDLC whould have to report that as anomaly) 2. The screenshots were 10 seconds apart. I will try your 3 steps after walking the dog, but this is the last thing. Then we end here and I will forward to Unraid team as there is a mess in their system. Quote Link to comment
