/var/log is getting full warning from Fix Common Problems

Featured Replies

Hi,

Did a little bit of digging myself but nothing stood out to me as out of the norm that would be filling up my log. Everything is working as it should and I have not had this issue in the past several years running pretty much this same setup. Nothing has changed since the last restart other than updating to 6.12.6 23 days ago, which is my current uptime, have had uptimes of 4 months or more before and never had this come up.

Can anyone spread some insight in to what I should be looking for? Diagnostics attached.

Post the output of

du -h /var/log

I'm getting the same error on both of my Unraid servers.  Looks like the unraid api is causing the issue.  It's the same for both servers.  Showing /var/log/unraid-api as taking up all the space.

root@Cairon:/var/log/unraid-api# du -h /var/log
0 /var/log/pwfail
113M /var/log/unraid-api
0 /var/log/preclear
0 /var/log/swtpm/libvirt/qemu
0 /var/log/swtpm/libvirt

In looking in the unraid-api directory, here's what I'm seeing:

root@Cairon:/var/log/unraid-api# ls -l --block-size=M

Not sure what the issue is, will update the plugins and reboot.

That's from the Connect plugin, possibly need an update.

  • Community Expert

there is an update for the plugin today. it instantly silence sit again!

I updated all plugins and docker containers yesterday, didn't have any updates available today.  I didn't reboot, however, so I'm guessing it's fixed now.  Will keep an eye on it and report back if any issues.

Here is what I had, looks like mine was likely the same issue as above seeing as it is the API filled up as well.
