New Full Stack Developer Hires

Recommended Posts

🚨 Big News Alert! 🚨

We're expanding the Unraid team with not one but TWO exceptional new Full Stack Developers from this job listing

Please give a warm welcome to Pujit Mehrotra @pujitm and Mike Datelle @allthecannolis, who are joining us on our journey to take Unraid to new heights. 🚀

Say Hello to Pujit:
Pujit is the kind of person who has always loved computers — so much so that his career journey took him from system administration straight into the world of software development at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, working on everything from space projects to AI-driven policy writing. With a mix of formal studies in business and supply chain and a passion for computer science, Pujit brings a fresh perspective to the team. His Unraid story? It's a classic tale of a tinkerer finding the perfect tool in Unraid OS — a USB that compresses months of server hassle into a single, elegant solution. When he’s not deep in code, you might catch him exploring one of his many hobbies or, naturally, tinkering with yet another server setup. 🤓

Meet Mike:
Mike's story is one many Unraid enthusiasts will relate to: a tech lover who stumbled upon Unraid while looking for the perfect NAS server solution, and the rest, as they say, is history. From Connecticut to Atlanta to Florida, Mike’s journey has been all about solving problems and creating impactful software. With a background in web design and SaaS development, Mike brings a keen eye for user experience and a knack for simplifying complex systems. When he's not coding up a storm, you'll find him jamming in his home music studio, capturing moments through photography, gaming, or soaking up the Florida sun! 🏖️

Read both Mike and Pujit's full bio here.

Mike and Pujit are joining our team at a thrilling time, and we can’t wait to see the magic they’ll bring to Unraid.

Please join us in welcoming them aboard!

Welcome Mike & Pujit!

Just curious—and I hope this doesn't start any flame wars!—does this mean that the UI is moving away from PHP and to Node?

Great question! We're going to be beginning to move components to Vue.js and are planning on building out the GraphQL API to be a fully-fledged part of Unraid. This is to facilitate more rapid development going forward as well as improve developer experience on Unraid - we're planning on bringing the API and these new UI components out with a plugin system to allow everyone to build plugins for Unraid more easily.

PHP isn't going away anytime soon, but we'll be beginning to compliment it with Node / Typescript.
