March 9, 201313 yr Saw this on sale, thinking of getting new case and some more HDs. Right now have a 430w non modular. And only 1 Data, Parity and cache. What more could I get out of the 430w? Is it ok to go with this and not need all power of it yet? Depends on the make and model of the PSU. Mines the corsair 430cx

I had 13 WD Green drives on mine before I upgraded to a Corsair 500CX.
March 13, 201313 yr I just bought the Corsair CX Series 600 Watt (available in 430, 500, 600, or 750 watts) for my desktop (non-unraid) and it works awesome. The modular design is so good for cable management, makes the whole case look nicer. Big upgrade for me.

January 22, 201412 yr Just remember ... the CX series is Corsair's "bargain basement low-end" power supply. If it works for your system, it's okay ... but I've seen several systems that aren't stable with a CX that work fine with their TX and HX series. I simply don't use the CX series units -- if I'm buying Corsair I only get HX or TX series units.
April 11, 201412 yr This seemed like a good deal to me based on prices of other PSUs and previous posts. April 11, 201412 yr That is indeed a VERY good price for a modular HX series !! Just ordered one as a spare PSU ... I'm sure I'll find a use for it "one of these days"

May 29, 201412 yr CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026&cm_re=cx430-_-17-139-026-_-Product expires on 6-4-2014 I use the CX500 without issues, but many here recommend avoiding the CX line for server use. They're really cheap for a reason.
June 1, 201412 yr They're really cheap for a reason. True. They DO work; but I've seen many systems that had issues with them, but work perfectly with any of the higher-end Corsair units or other good PSUs. Cheapest is not what you want when you want a rock-solid reliable system.

February 24, 20215 yr Flex ATX - Silverstone SST-FX350-G 80-Plus Gold, 350W $85.77 at time of posting. Seems reasonable to me, bought it & happy with it so far. It is smaller (less deep) than most 1U / Flex ATX PSUs out there. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QGMX5DW
December 9, 20223 yr This link has in-depth suggestions for PSU including quality ratings of specific variants/years and any comments of failures reported by people. I originally saw this on LTT forums and seems they have move it to their own website. Highly recommend you check this out when buying a PSU. https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
