I would like to ask, if you would consider extending the support to OpenFanController? Right now users are using the OpenFanController docker to manage access to the device and it's API, and a seperate control docker called OpenFanService to regulate the fan speeds, the latter being a purely text based configuration. Your plugin could be extended to support it via it's API, rather than the scripts you run to set the PWM on the fans at the moment.I'd happily sponsor the OpenFanController, so you can test and build up the support.I can also help with the sponsor part if we could get support for OpenFanController. This plugin looks great, but I think also many people have home built custom systems from mini PCs that need an external fan controller for multi fan support. I use a Lenovo M720Q, and it only has one fan controlled by BIOS that I have no access to. So I need to use an external controller if I want more fans and any control of them.
August 6, 2025Aug 6 It doesn't detect my PWM controller. Sensors-detect give me this info:Driver `to-be-written':* ISA bus, address 0xa30Chip `ITE IT8613E Super IO Sensors' (confidence: 9)Driver `coretemp':* Chip `Intel digital thermal sensor' (confidence: 9)I also found this page about this sensor and my motherboard:https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-h4/application_note/fan_speed_control_with_tempShould I follow those instructions to install the driver? Very newb with Linux, sorry if I'm asking for basic thing.

You can try following that guide, but itโs beyond the scope of what this plugin supports. Sorry I canโt help more on this part! You might want to reach out to your motherboard or system manufacturer to ask if thereโs any Linux driver or module available for the ITE8613E chip.

August 8, 2025Aug 8 Hello my friend, I'm back to say that it's working perfectly in my Supermicro 12-bay case, since the first version was released. Congratulations!I have another contribution for your project: add the RPM to adjust the minimum speed in RPM by percentage. Add the RPM on the configuration screen, see example below

Stay tuned!
August 8, 2025Aug 8 do we have it from plugin : or its becouse not rebooted after removed Dynamix System Autofan ?if so can this to be added to plugin also maybe ?

It depends on which fan you selected in its Array Fan Speed โ not from FanCtrl Plus or Auto Fan.

If you donโt plan to control the CPU fan anymore, Iโd suggest deleting it instead of just disabling โ to avoid accidental re-enabling. Just make sure to reboot after that.

Because of that, Iโve decided to hold off on any new UI features until after the new design is finalized โ otherwise itโs very likely things will break or look wrong.Right now, Iโm focusing on finalizing the current update features. If the plugin doesnโt suit your needs in its current form, I understand โ FanCtrl Plus might not be the right fit for everyone.Iโm developing this plugin in my spare time as a beginner still learning along the way, so I have to prioritize stability and maintainability over adding every request.
August 10, 2025Aug 10 @CkChong What is recommended internal 1 min or 2 min or something else? I deleted cpu fan for now. So I have only case fans and lsi sas card fans...

August 11, 2025Aug 11 This plugin makes the Dynamix System AutoFan Plugin look like Windows 95.Really looking forward to seeing the fan speed control feature based on CPU Temp.
