I wonder what the difference between version 1 and version 2 is.

Version 2 has added several dozen commits since v1. You can look at the commit log to see what those are.

  • Thanks for the feedback. CPU temperature monitoring is planned for a future version, but not the upcoming release. Just need a bit of time to figure out the logic and test things properly โ€” stay tune

  • Thanks! CPU support is already in the works โ€” just need a bit more time ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Iโ€™m aware that Unraid 7.2.0 will bring a major UI overhaul. Because of that, Iโ€™ve decided to hold off on any new UI features until after the new design is finalized โ€” otherwise itโ€™s very likely things

Noteworthy in my perspective are:
- Disk Groups
- Aux Sensors (in my case - pun intended - a dGPU)

Never been able to find my PWM controllers until just now when I came across a comment suggesting the ITE IT87 Driver

Is FanCtrl Plus 2 by andrebrait what's recommended now instead of the original by ck9393?
How do they compare to Dynamix System Autofan or any other alternatives?

Is there any way to set the fan interval less than 1 minute? Please add a way to adjust this if not now that we can use gpu sensors. I just added a passively cooled GPU for occasional AI OCR work and need a way to control a fan to cool it. Since its rarely used I don't want to just have a fan screaming all the time and want to control the fan as needed. This plugin is the only one I've found so far that allows me to use the gpu temp sensor which is great. Problem is the GPU heats up way faster than the 1 minute interval usually can respond to requiring me to bump the idle fan speed higher and higher to give me enough headroom. I have the fan running at 50% all the time now when it should be completely off 99.99999% of the time. Otherwise really loving the app!
