Upgraded from rc1 to rc2. No new issues so far. No critical issues in rc1 from my point of view either. All minor niggles reported in the prerelease section.

Upgraded from rc-1 to rc-2 (I ran all the beta’s too no issues) , easy upgrade (15ish minutes) no issues my side.

We had over 2000 installs of 7.2.0-rc.2 over the weekend! Not much feedback, seems to be a "no news is good news" type of thing.

Hello everyone,

yesterday I had a problem with my Unraid system. I am currently using version 7.2.0-rc.2. I was unable to log in to Unraid yesterday. The login page was unavailable. Logging in via SSH did not work either. The new app was also unable to connect to my Unraid system. All Docker containers were accessible and the VMs were working.

Only after a hard reset of my system was I able to log into Unraid again.

Unfortunately, this means I no longer have any log files. I currently have the “Mirror syslog to flash” option enabled.

This is the first time I've encountered this problem.

Hello... 🙂

I upgraded my main server to 7.2.0-rc.2 last night from 7.1.4.

Everything's perfect. It updated very quickly, and everything works great. 👌

Go ahead and grab diagnostics after the reboot, since you have "mirror syslog to flash" enabled, syslog-previous.txt will be included in the diagnostics even after a hard reset. Please start a new topic in the Prereleases board, including that diagnostics.zip

Upgraded from rc-1 to rc-2 without any known issues thus far. Dockers and VM's running fine as well.

Oh, you guys still have this going on though:

Cannot reproduce; possibly the rebuild is pausing and resuming. Please create a new post in the general support forum and post the diagnostics.

Hello again...🙂

After 3 days of running my server with this rc2, the GUI has become slow... about 3 seconds or maybe a little more. I mean, I click and it takes 3 seconds, sometimes almost 5 seconds to respond... for example, if I'm in settings and I click to go to Docker, it takes a long time, about 3-5 seconds, to display the Dockers GUI.

It's much slower than version 7.1.4.

Regards

VM creation wizard seems to default to q35-9.2 (good) on all Linux templates, however also still sets IDE (bad) as default CDRom Bus, which will result in a creation error

Windows templates still seem to default to i440fx-9.2, which I guess is fine for older than Windows 8?

edit: Bug: Cdrom bus IDE for Q35 is invalid set to SATA by SimonFair · Pull Request #2439 · unraid/webgui · GitHub
