+3, go get'em tiger!

Quite a few years ago we had AjaxExplorer working under the lighttpd web-server in unRAID-Web.

Now that we have php and a more capable extensible web-server, I wold think it might be able to make a plugin for it in the 5.0 series.

It looked like this three years ago:

You could browse, copy, move, rename, delete in web-based AjaxExplorer for years now.

Oh yeah... +4 on the nomination.

Sorry, my "anyone current" qualifier excludes me.

There has to be a web vt100/curses sessionulator out there somewhere. Lots of google hits but I can't run it down right now.

That too ( a virtual screen session) has been available as an add-on through unMENU.

It is "Shell In A Box"

It gives you a web-based command prompt.  Works pretty well.  It actually gives you a "Login" prompt.

(I doubt you can control-C out of a command though or do anything using "vi", so it is not fully interactive as a client-server vt100 emulator might be.)

See, someone current. :) So, how far is the code from something that could be hardwired to mc as nobody? I'm pretending we're on an impenetrable internal network so security isn't important.

Looks like Ajaxterm could do the trick.

It does some amount of emulation, has a back-end screen buffer and pushes out updates.

Look at that, you are half way there my friend.  I knew I was right to nominate you  ;D

I just installed this on RC4 and it works. I copied some files from disk to disk. Renamed a file. It was fun. The AjaxExplorer should be made into a plug-in.

I was trying to move some files around today and it occurred to me that there might be a really simple answer to the "local" file management permissions issue... FTP has provisions for reorganizing files on a server, right?  It did not work out though, I ftped to my server and could see the shares, but no files.

I guess there is some configuration required to open it up to ftp.  How hard would it be to get FTP to move files around and keep the nobody owner intact?
