October 13, 201213 yr CPS is playing up again. I had set it to run every 5 minutes. However it has stopped scanning for new movies. I had streamed a film using Pneumatic, when it was complete I selected repair. However CPS is not running the renamer on it. It seems I have to restart CPS for this to take effect. I think that is a global problem with CPS currently; it'll need to be updated by the creators. I'm only saying "think" because I thought I read it earlier in this thread, but I'm too lazy to look it up
October 13, 201213 yr OK - So this is totally showing my nerd side, but I found the SickBeard Anime branch earlier today. http://sickbeard.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1452 https://github.com/lad1337/Sick-Beard I'm able to configure and install it just fine, and I tried looking into the current SickBeard_Unplugged.plg to see if I could make the modifications to it so I could run both at the same time, but I was stumped. Right now I have it running on port 8086, same directory as SickBeard is located (just instead of /mnt/cache/custom/sickbeard it is /mnt/cache/custom/sickbeard_anime). Would it be possible for anyone to help with this? Like I said, I gave it a shot but currently it is over my head. If nobody can, no worries since I can still start it up from my go file! I just figured since so little would need to be changed it wasn't the world's most ridiculous request. Thanks, regardless! (I do want to reiterate that there are no worries if this can't be done/nobody wants to do it!)

I was told on the CPS forums that the renamer is not working right now for anything that has been downloaded manually or put into the watched folder manually. They said that it will be fixed in the next version or so but we have to wait for the head maintainer to push it. What I am doing right now is I made a bookmarklet that will invoke the renamer (from the CPS forum mod) use this in your browser http://<ip>:<port>/api/<api>/renamer.scan/ and it will run the renamer like it used to.
October 13, 201213 yr Author OK - So this is totally showing my nerd side, but I found the SickBeard Anime branch earlier today. http://sickbeard.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1452 https://github.com/lad1337/Sick-Beard I'm able to configure and install it just fine, and I tried looking into the current SickBeard_Unplugged.plg to see if I could make the modifications to it so I could run both at the same time, but I was stumped. (I do want to reiterate that there are no worries if this can't be done/nobody wants to do it!) Its not too hard to do, I've actually done it myself for my kids tv shows. I'll throw one together and send you the link.
October 14, 201213 yr Author Alright, got the alternate sickbeard up. I'm not going to throw it on github but it is on my dropbox. If enough users think a second sickbeard would be beneficial I will put it on github. I'll up the link, and if there are any major changes to the plug-ins, for example if sickbeard totally breaks for some reason, I'll fix it, but small changes I will not port to this. Consider it an unofficial release. Reason for this is supporting these can lead to major headaches (multiple versions of the same plug-in to run multiple instances) and could up my workload exponentially. Anyways, here it is: sickbeard_alt_unplugged.plg Also, introducing a work-around plug-in by user sensine, anetwait.plg . This plug-in waits for internet access before continuing to work around an issue some users have had with plug-ins not being able to download because they are ran before the network is available. anetwait.plg
October 14, 201213 yr I am going to say I dont think its necessary to run two instances of sickbeard (one for anime and one for regular). The anime branch works well for normal tv as well, just dont check the anime box when adding the show.

The anime branch works well for normal tv as well, just dont check the anime box when adding the show. Like I said - I just discovered this branch today and don't really know much about it. In one of the wiki's or forum threads it was mentioned it could be run right beside the "real" SickBeard, and it sounds like Influencer does it already, though. Speaking of that; thanks Influencer! I really do appreciate all the effort you've put into making workable plug-ins. I hope you take a little time away and are able to help your Mrs. out Thanks once more!
October 14, 201213 yr Author I run two instances for mine and my wifes shows and another for the kids. Cleaner to maintain (since I'm all ocd about it I have to have 100% and kids shows are not reliably upped) . It was no problem, basically all that had to be done was any reference to directories have to be changed so settings/files don't get overwritten by the separate instances. Only took a few minutes with the help of notepad ++ and its replace function. I think I spent longer adding the censor-esque "alt" to the icon to help differentiate between the two. I help the Mrs. out, I do know what's best for me, and her being happy is at the top of that list!
October 14, 201213 yr I can't see to get sickbeard_alt to start. It will pull down the anime branch to /usr/local/sickbeard_alt but it wont start it. i ran the command from CLI and it says "12345678911011sickbeard_alt.pid not created for some reason... OK"
October 14, 201213 yr Make sure you have the first version turned off. It'll start on port 8081 first. Change the settings and then you should be able to run both at the same time!
October 14, 201213 yr Author The alt version should be set to 8085 by default unless I accidentally overwrite it. I'll check it out this afternoon.
October 15, 201213 yr Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I just installed the SickBeard plugin and getting it set up and talking to my internal stuff and my nzb providers using the guide. I had it running last night, but late in the evening it just stopped working. I killed the whole config and reinstalled but I'm still unable to add new shows. So now I'm back to blank with no shows. Logs aren't very helpful as it's throwing: Oct-15 12:59:23 ERROR SHOWQUEUE-ADD :: Error trying to add show: Oct-15 12:59:23 INFO SHOWQUEUE-ADD :: TVDB: {'useZip': True, 'apikey': '9DAF49C96CBF8DAC', 'cache': '/mnt/cache/apps/sickbeard/cache/tvdb', 'language': u'en'} Oct-15 12:59:23 INFO SHOWQUEUE-ADD :: Starting to add show /mnt/user/Video/TV/Louie (2010) Oct-15 12:59:09 INFO CP Server Thread-2 :: Invalid info in tvshow.nfo (missing name or id):30 Rock None None those are the same errors I was getting before. thetvdb.com seems to be working fine, but...I keep getting those vague errors. The weird thing is I was trying to add Louie when it threw that 30 rock thing. Not really sure what I did wrong....I did a search for the apikey but....came up short so far. Anyone have any suggestions? TIA Matt
October 15, 201213 yr The SickBeard forum may be a better place to get that detailed support. Check your TV folder and see if you have Louie and/or 30 Rock and if you do, open the tvshow.nfo file with a text viewer. If it looks like it isn't complete, then you can always delete it; SickBeard will download a new one if you Refresh the show. You may be running into two different errors that just appear to be related to each other, but really aren't, also. Good luck!
October 15, 201213 yr yeah, I deleted it. now the 30 rock problem is gone. But I still can't add any shows. I even tried adding Futurama, simply because I don't have ANY. so I figured if it was something with my local files, this would get around it. same thing: Oct-15 14:30:02 ERROR SHOWQUEUE-ADD :: Error trying to add show: Oct-15 14:30:02 INFO SHOWQUEUE-ADD :: TVDB: {'useZip': True, 'apikey': '9DAF49C96CBF8DAC', 'cache': '/mnt/cache/apps/sickbeard/cache/tvdb', 'language': u'en'} Oct-15 14:30:02 INFO SHOWQUEUE-ADD :: Starting to add show /mnt/user/Video/TV/Futurama I'll check at the sickbeard forums. Thanks
October 15, 201213 yr Can you add folders to the location for your TV shows? Try manually adding "Futurama" as a folder, then do an Add from Existing instead of a new show. Good luck!
October 15, 201213 yr Is that your API key or one for the thetvdb.com? Forgive me if that's a dumb question; all the ones I have are longer than that (I did have the system generate them, though).
October 15, 201213 yr Can you add folders to the location for your TV shows? Try manually adding "Futurama" as a folder, then do an Add from Existing instead of a new show. Good luck! yeah, it knows where my shows are. I've been trying to add them as existing shows. I thought maybe that was the issue- that's why I tried it with a show I didn't have anything on. and I assume it's the thetvdb.com api key, because when I google it, a bunch of other thetvdb.com stuff comes up. I appreciate you getting back to me....I have a feeling the support won't be as good @ the SB forums...seems slow over there. BTW: http://sickbeard.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5273
October 15, 201213 yr I rapid fired a couple of questions your way via PM. One of the suggestions that looked like it worked for another person was resetting the permissions on the TV folder, either with the CHMOD or the New Permissions Script. Another thing that came up in Google was that SickBeard doesn't support proxies, so if you're using that it looks really difficult to get around.
October 16, 201213 yr New plugin for people to try. This time its for the program gamez. Its based off of headphones, and downloads... games. Here is a link to the developers thread http://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=9672 The current developer seems interested in making this better so if you have issues or feature requests with the program itself let him know at http://github.com/avjui/Gamez As for the plugin it can found in Influencers dev branch on git https://github.com/Influencer/UNplugged/tree/dev, once its deemed cool it will move to the master branch. He agreend to help maintain this one as well. I should note I only tested it with PC games but it did work. EDIT - Don't use the in program updater. Also you will need to edit your Gamez.ini like that reads server.socket_host = "127.0.0.1" to server.socket_host = "0.0.0.0" Otherwise you wont be able to connect to the web gui from outside the server - this will be fixed in an update to the plugin
October 16, 201213 yr Author Little update for the Gamez plug-in. You no longer need to edit the Gamez.ini, I've supplied a stock ini file with the change and directed it to the plug-in config folder. This works to our advantage in two ways 1. You don't have to muck with the ini file to make the change(as this can be confusing if you aren't familiar with linux) 2. Even if you don't supply a data dir your configuration will be safe and persistent through a reboot. Again, must stress, do not use the in-program updater. It points to the old master branch so it will break your install. The plug-in updater will work, so please use it!

I started to think about what a crap time I'd had recently downloading stuff at home. Weird part was ....really only having problems downloading little applications....especially from source forge. nzbs and other stuff downloaded fine, but stuff like Putty, and Notepad++ wouldn't come, no matter what mirror I used. I could navigate the web fine, but when I'd get to the link it wouldn't come down. I found that if I VPN'd to a VPN server it worked fine. I still have no idea what was going on, but I hard booted my Cable modem, then stuff seemed to work. How's that for me being an idiot. I hate issues like this. It had NOTHING to do with the plugins. It was just my internet connection being wonky. ugh.... Sorry to waste your time.
October 16, 201213 yr No worries; I was trouble-shooting during down-time at work. Glad you are up and running!
October 16, 201213 yr Influencer, was wondering if you would have any interest in merging/taking over the CrashPlan plugins. I would love to help out with the undertaking, it would just be my first undertaking in the world of plugins!
October 16, 201213 yr Author Influencer, was wondering if you would have any interest in merging/taking over the CrashPlan plugins. I would love to help out with the undertaking, it would just be my first undertaking in the world of plugins! Not right now, I've got a few things I want to complete with those I'm currently maintaining and with the holiday season coming up Im not sure how much time I'll have to devote. If you'd like to take a stab at it I'd be happy to help you along the way. I haven't been paying attention, is the plugin no longer being maintained?
