November 24, 20169 yr Since everybody is doing something for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, can we expect any discounts from Lime Technology? I know you are guys are awesome as is, but some extra love can't hurt either Cheers.
November 24, 20169 yr Problem is they sell Unraid licenses, and the vast majority of us already possess these. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

November 24, 20169 yr I'll take a couple of the free parity checks More realistically, I'm not sure what LimeTech could offer that would really be enticing to the UnRAID crowd. Perhaps discounted upgrades -- a $9 discount would eliminate the "penalty" that you pay by buying in at lower level and then paying for an upgrade.

I do however have some spare parity checks I would part with. Free shipping too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
November 25, 20169 yr I've bought a few license when there have been "deals" just to have. Didn't have a use for them at the time of purchase but now using all of them. So if they had a promo I would probably buy another just to have around.
November 26, 20169 yr Cyber Monday? Not likely. BRiT has a very dry sense of humour, and the soon™ bit is a product of Limetech's past habit of hinting and promising upgrades and features that took literal YEARS to come to fruition. Thankfully, Limetech has been MUCH more responsive this last year, the company really isn't even comparable to the years when Tom was trying to run the whole thing all on his own. I don't think there will be any discounts forthcoming, Unraid is really very cheap as it is, considering it's currently a one and done purchase with ongoing version upgrades not costing anything. The cost of the software compared to the cost of even a large hard drive is amazing.
November 26, 20169 yr Author Agreed. I love the solution and personally bought two copies of the pro edition.
November 28, 20169 yr Limetech had something for Black Friday. unRAID 6.3.0-rc5 was released. ... and it was even FREE !! (well, as long as you have a current UnRAID key)
November 28, 20169 yr Free Parity Checks For Everyone! I made sure i got 12 free parity checks this black friday.... so it would last me once a month till next black friday !
November 29, 20169 yr I'd love to have a BOGO deal for an unraid license. I have 2 but need a 3rd for all my preclearing of drives. Yes I could continue to use cheap USB's for this (have bazillions) but I'd rather go all legal like if I could.

Yes I could continue to use cheap USB's for this (have bazillions) but I'd rather go all legal like if I could. Just set up a USB flash drive with v5 to use for pre-clearing. The free version is all you need. If you don't have the v5 download, just send LImeTech a note and ask for the v5.0.6 download. The free version was done away with for v6, requiring a Basic license instead; but you don't need any of the v6 features to simply run the pre-clear script.
November 29, 20169 yr ... BTW, although the v5 free version only supports a max of 3 drives, you don't need ANY drives assigned to the array to be able to run the pre-clear script. And it also doesn't have any "attached device" limits -- so you can attach as many drives to it as you want to pre-clear.
