megna22
Okay I lost server access logged into the web gui and was greeted with what I think is a hard drive failure I still have a green globe but that doesn't mean anything in my experience. What I need is one of you more experienced users to confirm my diagnosis Log and diag attached movies-diagnostics-20180429-1425.zip movies-syslog-20180429-1426.zip Link to comment
trurl
Looks like connection or controller issues on multiple disks, 3,4,6. No SMART from any of those so can't advise about the disks themselves. No need to post diagnostics and also syslog since diagnostics already includes syslog. Link to comment
Frank1940
Be sure that you check to see if perhaps these disks are fed by a single power cable or the SATA data cables are connected to the same controller. Double check for loose connections. Link to comment
JorgeB
Looks like a problem with the onboard controller, errors on multiple disks, it could be an hiccup or it's starting to malfunction, you need to reboot so the disks come online and see where you are. Link to comment
megna22
okay here's where I am I rebooted last night every thing seems fine got up this morning to the same problem read errors on 3 or 4 different drives replaced drive controller replaced all cabling I'm beginning to think its something on the main board. Frustrated! No money right no to throw at it right now any suggestions welcome I'm just down for now. Link to comment
JorgeB
The previous errors were on the motherboard onboard controller, if that's the problem you'll need to replace the board or add another controller and stop using the onboard SATA ports. Link to comment
megna22
Update added another PCI drive controller and took the main board controller out of the picture. So far so good only downfall is that the PCI controller is a old udma 100 controller if this works I Will replace it with a newer one Link to comment
