June 2, 20188 yr Hello guys, i know, this topic is very often here in the forum. But i think i tried a many things. I only have 36MB/s at the sync with four HDDs. If i put one out, the speed goes up to 140MB/s and thats ok i think. But why the speed drop down, if i use more HDDs? Motherboard is ok, i switched this with CPU. x2065A-R6 is ok too, i think i5 2500k Z68 Extreme 3 Gen3 with newest bios update 2x PCIe 16x (one x2065 / one LAN-Card) DS4243 Disk Shelf I hope you can help guys. Nice Weekend
June 2, 20188 yr Community Expert Problem is very likely the controller you're using, try using the onboard SATA ports and it should perform much better, if you need an HBA get an LSI instead.
June 2, 20188 yr Author Onboard SATA use with the DS4243 isnt possible. Do you know a LSI HBA with QSFP. because the DS has only QSFP ports? Or can i try something like, other drivers...?

June 2, 20188 yr Author Ok, i hope thats the problem, I orderd now a H200E and an QSFP to SFF 8088 Cable. New feedback at the next weekend. If somebody has other tips, please tell me
June 2, 20188 yr FYI: All LSI-Cards which have a "0" on the 3rd possition, come with IT-Mode (Doc from Broadcom). Example: 9207-8i The 9211-8i come with IR-mode. Edited June 2, 20188 yr by Zonediver
June 7, 20188 yr Author Hello Guys, I have the same issue with my new H200E. 80Euro for nothing What can i do now? bigboy-diagnostics-20180607-0850.zip
June 7, 20188 yr Community Expert If it's not the HBA it's most likely the disk shelf, sorry I have no experience with that model, maybe someone else does.
