Falloutman
I cannot remove this darn error from UNRAID. It's occurring on my Parity Drive and it continues to stay disabled. No where in the webgui does it give me the option to acknowledge the error. Is there a different way to to this? Link to comment
JonathanM
After a drive is disabled (red ball) it must be rebuilt. Nothing to do with acknowledging an error. Stop the array, unassign the offending drive from the parity slot, start the array, stop the array, assign it back to the slot, start the array and let it rebuild. Link to comment
JorgeB
And if you haven't yet replace that SATA cable before doing it. Link to comment
Falloutman
Did both of these and the rebuild is happening now. Link to comment
trurl
Just to give you some more insight into this. A disk is disabled when a write to it fails. So its contents are no longer valid and it must be rebuilt from the parity calculation. Same principle applies whether we are talking about a parity disk or a data disk. Link to comment
