Blairwin
Just today I started to have issues with Steam and I'm not sure why. This is what I got when I checked the directory permissions. drwxrwx---+ 1 nobody users 4096 Nov 23 02:41 Steam/ I'm new to linux so I'm positive I'm reading it right, but I should have access to the folder shouldn't I? What is it I'm doing wrong? Quote Link to comment
trurl
Not nearly enough information. Is this over the network? From inside a VM or Docker? Quote Link to comment
Blairwin
Sorry I should have explained more. I'm trying to access the folder locally. Not through a VM or Docker just trying to navigate to it in File Explorer. Quote Link to comment

The Games share, which is where Steam is located, is set to Secure. My user access is set to Read/Write. I have access to everything else in the Games share, only the Steam directory is giving me access issues. Quote Link to comment
trurl
What happens if you set security to Public? Quote Link to comment

My wife also has a computer on the local network and she is able to access the directory with no issue. Quote Link to comment
Blairwin
It's still not working today, any other ideas? For some reason it's just my computer that can't access the one directory. Quote Link to comment
trurl
See this thread pinned near the top of this same subforum: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/53172-windows-issues-with-unraid/ Quote Link to comment
Blairwin
I couldn't immedietly find anything that looked similar or would solve my issue. I deleted my user from unraid and I'm able to access the directory again. I guess for now I'll just have it set to public. Quote Link to comment
