March 4, 200620 yr My feature request: Support for file sharing through WebDAV protocol: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebDAV
March 4, 200620 yr Author I don't imagine WebDAV support to replace the file sharing support already in UnRaid (SMB/CIFS). I would imagine the feature as a supplement that would greatly improve the product. It would be like adding support for NFS as well. The main advantage of WebDAV support would be: Access to the files on the Un-RAID via HTTP. For example, the SMB path to a file under disk2 might look like this: \\tower\disk3\music\rock.mp3 The WebDAV path would be: http://tower/disk3/music/rock.mp3 Clients that do not support SMB/CIFS can now access this file. You can also access this file through the Internet without having to jump through a bunch special firewall hoops. It all runs through HTTP/S (port 80/443). WebDAV is supported by Windows and can be used as an alternate method of accessing files. WebDAV paths can also be mapped as network drives. A version of Apache would need to be included on the USB stick that has support for WebDAV. I'm not sure how much room is left to spare on the sticks that you provide. This would be a really neat feature that can really open up the usefulness of the Un-RAID. (Or, so I think. What do the rest of you Un-RAID users think?)

June 22, 201115 yr Hey just following up on this. Any movement? I think Webdav could be a great way to also use third party apps to sync files among colleagues (ie dropbox like), as well as keep a version and info on who made the last changes.
August 27, 201213 yr Count me in as well .... I was infact looking for webdav support .... would increase the versatility of the product ....

July 23, 201411 yr Bump My eReader could connect to my ebook library with WebDav. I can't see how to do it with a SMB share.
