I am suddenly having some major issues with my unraid build and seriously thinking about changing the components from AMD to intel. Anyhoo, thats a subject for another thread. Currently the system is powered on and does not boot or post but and the fans are running slow and then fast. They are fast for about 20 seconds and there a blip of a couple of seconds where the fans go slow and then speed up again. This is happening continously. Nothing has changed or has been touched for ages. I wanted to gauge opinions on what could be the cause for this and how I could go about identifying the problem? I recently was told to disable C States in the BIOS, that is the only change I made because I have an AMD CPU. Apart from that everything is the same. Can anyone help with this?

I have disabled the C-States in the BIOS. Fingers crossed!

Thank you for the link. Most of the things are not an issue but I will have a deeper look into the BIOS which was updated also. However, what is troubling is the fact that this problem only started occurring after the 6.11 update. Everything was fine before then.. this boggles the mind. I am going nuts or what?

Hi all I am having a nightmare with unraid currently and I am not sure what to do about this. Ever since I upgraded to 6.11 I have been having issues with the system. Random restarts is the major issue. It is just not stable. I have not done anything to cause this behaviour, everything has remained the same with the configuration. I did have a USB flash drive failure after the upgrade, not sure if it was caused by the upgrade or just my luck, but I have a new flash drive now with the license ported over. The other thing I did was to update the BIOS on my motherboard to see if that was the root of the cause, but no, its still just randomly restarts. This is a proper nightmare. I am attaching syslog and iagnostics for anyone who understands this and could guide me on what I should be doing to fix the issue? Please do help, much appreciated. so even with 10gb, it is advisable to turn it back to 1500 mtu?

Hi all I have jumbo frames active and I did that because I thought that would give the highest speed for 10GB networks. My server has a 10GB SFP+ nic in it. Do I still need to switch back to 1500 MTU? I have been trying to find some content around what to do for 10GB networks and Jumbo frames but I am not able to. Anyone else with similar experience of what needs to happen here?

I have the same issue. The option to replace key is not available. I have the correct key in the config folder and I am stuck. Nothing is working and my whole server is down. The last key was replaced more than a year ago. These USB devices keep failing on me. How do I fix this?

I Just created a new USB with the creator tool and I was able to boot up the server thank god, however I am unable to transfer the key over, the documents say that I should get a note saying I need to click on replace key, however I dont get that. It just says fix error.

Antec 1200 something something.. its an old one from 2009 i beleive. I picked it up used on ebay.

What I really need is a super silent solution to cool the hard disks. I am going to continue researching on how to actively water cool hard drives in sandwich setup (1 heatsink for every 2 drives) without compromising space. Need the hard disks to be cooler than they are.

I love this! I didn't know it existed. Should have to the plans on here first. It is working ok for now, although I think this pump/controller combo unit could be pretty handy when I move things into a rack mounted solution ... which is the obvious next step. I can imagine it now.. external radiator and pump set up with a silent passive external PSU and pipes going through a PCI slot at the back of the case. wowzers! Thanks a lot for sharing this with me. Water cooling is making me more excited than doing the rack build itself haha

It really is. 50Kg is 110lbs in American. Thats a XSPC water temp monitor with a digital display. My MB does not have a temp sensor, so I put an external one in there. I am trying to figure out fan control still. It would have been great to do a fan curve according to water temp, but thats not possible at this time so I am just using the CPU for everything in the Dynamic Auto Fan plugin.
