Hello everyone, I'm thinking of mounting an external hard drive in Raid 5 (3 drives + 1 backup) as a parity drive. Is it a good idea or due to data traffic and power consumption... isn't it worth it?

Mine neither, but from the rc-7. The board detects it(RTL8156), but the system does not load the driver. However, the RTL 8125(ethernet) works fine.

Updated from RC8 without problem. I only lost my fans but I guess that it is an issue from plugin

Hello, It was that! The drives were formatted at 520 bytes, I reformatted them to 512 bytes and after 17 hours they are working fine. In case anyone needs the command is: sg_format -v --format --size=512 /dev/sd(X) Thank you very much

Hi, I finally decided to upgrade the hard drive because some days it worked and others it didn't. I have put the firmware of the link on 0005 but it does not work either. any advice?

A very strange thing happened to me, after 2 days, the disk goes to sleep without problem. Is it possible that it was doing the smart test? There is no record of the test. I tried a spin down manually and it worked.
